Gaming is a widespread global activity, with nearly 2 billion players. PC and the web generate the most gaming revenue currently, though mobile and console platforms are growing. Gaming spectatorship reached over 450 million viewers in 2015, and organized esports competitions are emerging as a new type of spectator activity. Skill-based wagering on gaming is also increasing in popularity. Virtual reality technologies may drive the next generation of gaming platforms by providing highly immersive experiences. Investment in esports is rising as it establishes itself as a new industry, while funding for mobile/internet gaming fluctuates with each new platform.

A super app combines different services and functionality into a single interface. Super apps are becoming popular as consumers want mobile-first experiences that are simple to use. By 2027, over 50% of the world's population will be daily active users of numerous super apps. Super apps integrate features from multiple apps into one, providing financial services as an example. They improve scalability, allow for a strong online presence through social media integration, require less device storage space, and provide easy access to multiple services through a single login. However, designing a super app that maintains consistency across mini-apps and caters to user behaviors can be challenging.
The document provides an analysis of The Trade Desk (TTD) and recommends a neutral stance. It summarizes TTD's business model as a self-service platform for digital advertising and cites growth catalysts like digital transformation and a partnership with Walmart. However, it concludes that while TTD is fundamentally solid, its current valuation is unattractive compared to peers, making the risk/reward profile unfavorable. It recommends waiting for a 30%+ price pullback before increasing positions in TTD.

India's First Report on Legality of Fantasy Sports IFSG_Official
This chapter analyzes whether fantasy sports games constitute games of skill under Indian law. It notes that Indian courts use the "dominant factor test" to determine if a game is based on skill or chance, looking at which is the dominating factor that determines the result. The chapter discusses past cases where courts found rummy and horse racing to be games of skill. It argues that fantasy sports require considerable skill in player selection and management over the course of a match or season, making them games of skill under Indian law.
eSports: The Biggest Sport You've Probably Never Heard Ofsparks & honey
With millions of people already playing video games and the popularity of video game competition rising, gamers developed an interest in watching others play for fun, while learning tips to improve their play and witnessing pro-gamers
showcasing their skills.
eSports organizations recognized this trend and created platforms for people to participate and watch. The dramatic rise of game streaming services like Twitch, ESL, and MLG created communities between players and fans.
Then came the big prize money. The professional game casters. Video games broadcast on major networks. Huge, sold-out crowds. Brand sponsorships. And from the beginning, unrelentingly passionate fans.
A perfect sport that fulfills the cultural need to be the hero, to be part of a community as both participant and spectator and experience the thrill of victory.

Social Gaming Networks abgebildet.

Gamification Quo Vadis - Präsentation zum Gamification Day Köln 2014Ibrahim Mazari

28. Hyperlokale (Schreckens-)Visionen
• Spaltung der Gesellschaft könnte sich
verschärfen:
• Offliner verlieren den Anschluss und
rutschen sozial ab
• Entstehung einer Matrix-ähnlichen Welt:
Unproduktive Gesellschaftsschichten
werden mit virtuellen Welten ruhig gestellt
(John Christopher, 2003, „Bad Dream“)
• Begünstigung der Entstehung von
Überwachungsstaaten
