20. Shortliffe‘s Prophecy
„I do believe that we must accept the impossibility of
viewing the introduction of decision support tools as a
grass-roots activity that emerges from the research
lab, (….) and then grows by some kind of mass effect to
encompass an entire medical community.
(…) will be realized when the infrastructure for
introducing computational tools in medicine has been
put in place by visionary leaders,
who understand the importance of networking,
integration, shared access to patient data bases, and
the use of standards for data-exchange,
communications and knowledge-sharing.“
Shortliffe E.H.: The adolescence of AI in Medicine:
Will the field come of age in the 90s? Artificial Intell.Med. 5, 1993, 93-105.

27. Boote in der Flotte
> 80 Unternehmen testen jährlich bei IHE
– Vergleichsweise viele Östereicher sind dabei
Neu seit 4.2013: Technikum Wien „Connectathon – tested“!
50 Continua Geräte sind zertifiziert
5.2012: Technikum Wien am Plugfest Berlin erfolgreich getestet
Es ist eine nationale Bewegung entstanden
Das Land ist klar auf der WM
28. Die Übung ab jetzt:
Die Bausteine sind da!
– Österreicht erfüllt Voraussetzungen
von denen andere nur träumen!
– Innovative Prototypen schafft man
innerhalb einiger Monate
indem man die Lernkurve geht
– Communities sind vorhanden
IHE, HL7, ASI, …
– Wir sehen erreichbare Ziele
Herausforderungen
– Vernetzte Systeme sind komplex
– Es braucht Ausdauer, Geschick, Kooperationen
und Nachhaltigkeit um Lücken zu schließen
– Geschäftsmodelle, PPP, …
– „Software as medical device“
29. Fazit
Das Projekt AlveoPic wird im Rahmen des EFRE
Programms European Territorial Co-Operation Austria
Czech Republic durchgeführt und durch Mittel der
Europäischen Union aus dem Europäischen Fond für
regionale Entwicklung gefördert. Außerdem wird es
durch die AUVA kofinanziert.
Es ist schon losgegangen.
Wir sind für die WM qualifiziert.
Es ist noch kein Breitensport.
Wir schaffen den Titel bevor die
anderen begonnen haben!
Bilden wir Teams und trainieren wir!
