The document discusses how certain plants can help purify indoor air by removing pollutants. It begins by outlining sources of indoor air pollution and health issues related to poor indoor air quality. It then discusses NASA research from the 1980s that found plants can significantly reduce indoor air pollutants like formaldehyde. The document lists the 50 most effective plants according to NASA's research and provides details on the top-ranking plants like the Areca Palm, Lady Palm, Rubber Plant, and Peace Lily. It explains how these plants absorb pollutants through their leaves and roots.
The document provides an overview of garden styles from around the world, including Asian, English, North American and South American gardens. It discusses key elements and principles of Asian gardens including harmonizing with nature, emphasis on empty space, and styles like hill and pond, dry landscape, tea garden and stroll gardens. English gardens emerged in the 18th century featuring lawns, trees and picturesque architecture. Mughal gardens built by Muslim rulers in India incorporated water, shade, and places for rest in their geometric layouts.
This document discusses case studies of two industrial landscape sites - Eastman Business Park in Rochester, NY and Konabari Industrial Area in Gazipur, Bangladesh. For Eastman Business Park, the summary describes its history as a former Kodak facility and current tenants. Landscape elements like buildings, roads, and vegetation are organized in a cluster layout. Konabari Industrial Area faces issues like pollution from untreated waste and lack of environmental planning. Proposals to address these problems include establishing effluent treatment, green buffers, and wetlands to improve the local environment.
This document discusses the economic importance of several plant species. It provides botanical names, common names in English and local languages, and family names for each plant. For each plant, it then lists 2-4 ways the plant is economically important, such as uses for food, medicine, construction, fuel, or industry. Plants discussed include rose, bairy tree, date palm, aloe vera, shesham, guava, amaltas, shahtoot, kekar, and neem. The document emphasizes how widely plants are used to meet basic human needs.
The document discusses the elements of landscape design including color, direction/line, form, texture, and scale. It then discusses advanced elements like water features, stone, shelters, seating, fencing, sculptures, and lighting. It provides details on the uses of stone for paving, retaining walls, stacked stone walls, and seating. It also discusses water features, shelters, seating considerations, paving uses including retaining walls, and benches.

A digital leader is able to lead effectively in the digital age by understanding how digital technologies impact leadership. While leaders don't need to become digital themselves, they must adapt to new challenges like transparent and virtual work environments. The digital aspects of leadership involve creating impact in ways that scale independently of location and time, through social collaboration and communication networks. Digital leaders build trusted online networks and engage followers by creating movements where people contribute voluntarily based on shared understanding rather than through rigid commands.
Digital Leadership vs Leadership in the digital ageHarald Schirmer
The document discusses digital leadership and the attributes of a digital leader. It notes that digital leaders are agile, collaborative, learn from others, and focus on the big picture. They engage and lead virtual teams, communicate via social media, take risks, and connect people both physically and digitally. Digital leaders exemplify future work styles using digital communication and transparency.

2. DAS 24 Volt HAUS, ein Ansatz zur regenerativen Energieversorgung
Grundprinzip:
2. SPEICHER
- Einbau von stationären 24 Volt Batterien z.B. 15 kWh (13 Mio Häuser*15 kWh = 195 GWh)
- Nachladung durch Nachtstrom, speziell in den Wintermonaten
3. REGENERATIVE ENERGIEVERSORGUNG:
- Versorgung durch Photovoltaik z. B. 4 qm = ca. 0,5 kWp, 1000 h/a = 500 kWh/a
- Versorgung durch Kleinwindkraftanlagen ca. 500 Wp, 2250 h/a = 1125 kWh/a

3. DAS 24 Volt HAUS, ein Ansatz zur regenerativen Energieversorgung
STROMVERSORGUNGSBILANZ:
230V~/ 24V DC Haus:
1. Wie bisher 230V~
230V~ Haus:
Typischer Stromverbrauch: 3500 kWh/a Küche + Waschen: 1750 kWh = 58%
Küche + Waschen: 50 % = 1750 kWh/a 2. Umstellung auf 24V DC
Heizung (Pumpen): 3% = 80 kWh/a Pumpen: 80 kWh = 2,7%
Licht (Glühlampen): 10% = 370 kWh/a Wird durch Einsatz LED reduziert auf:
Kleinverbraucher: 37% = 1300 kWh/a Licht (LED): 70 kWh = 2,3%
Wird durch Wegfall aller Netzteile (-20%)
Kleinverbraucher: 1100 kWh = 37%
SUMME: 1250 kWh = 42%
GESAMTVERBRAUCH: = 3000 kWh/a
Einsparung: - 14% mit Komfortgewinn der
unterbrechungsfreien Stromversorgung

5. DAS 24 Volt HAUS, ein Ansatz zur regenerativen Energieversorgung
RECHNUNG: 11,5 kWh AKKU, + 0,5 kWp Photovoltaik + 500 Watt Kleinstwindkraftanlage
Strompreiserhöhung in den letzten 10 Jahren 6%/a
Abschreibungszeitraum linear 15 Jahre
Ausbaustufe Investition EVU Teuerungsrate Strompreis
Umstellung auf 24 V (vorher 100%) 3%/a 5%/a 7%/a
Steckdosen + Verkabelung 1000 €
LED Lampen (10 Stück) 360 € Kapitalverzinsung /a über Rückzahlung in 15 a hinaus
1: 11,52 kWh AKKU: 1640 € 73 % 2,6%/a 4,3%/a 6,3%/a
Windgenerator: 900 € 51% 4,9%/a 7,0%/a 9,5%/a

Trennung)
- Umstellung der Kommunikationsgeräte auf 24V DC (Wegfall 230V~ galv. Trennung)

Alternativen: Leitungsquerschnitt: 1,5 mm²=0,01 Ohm/m, Länge 100m, R = 1 Ohm, Nv = I²x R
1. 12 Volt z.B. Auto 100W/12V = 8,33 A Nv = 69,44 W niedrig
2. 24 Volt z.B. LKW 100W/24V = 4,16 A Nv = 17,36 W niedrig (max. 30 V)
3. 48 Volt z.B. Flugzeug 100W/48V = 2,08 A Nv = 4,34 W höher (max. 60 V)
