Alex Katz is an US-american artist. He presented a new cutout recenty. Last year a whole series of works with dancers was published. In addition to numerous graphics, a sculpture is now the crowning achievement.
You will have noticed that a copy of the similar sculpture "Coca Cola Girl" was auctioned at the Dorotheum auction house in Vienna on 28.11.2019 for 68,000 euros. We expect a similar development in this work.
Alex Katz: "There is probably no other artist who has collected as many tears in the course of his career as I have. When I exhibit abroad, the museums often don't dare send me the reviews. It's probably true: children like my art, normal people like it, very, very smart people like it. Only semi-intellectuals hate my art. And most critics are just that: semi-intellectuals.
Alex Katz was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1927.
From June to October 2020, there will be another exhibition at the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza, Madrid. The Guggenheim in New York is planning a major retrospective for 2022.

Alex Katz wurde 1927 in Brooklyn, New York, geboren.
Von Juni bis Oktober 2020 findet eine weitere Ausstellung im Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza, Madrid,
statt.
