Entscheidungsebene stellen muss
Strategie/Führung: „was, warum öffnen? Community Management?“
Prozesse/Architektur: „wie strukturieren? Wie agil? Wie sicher?“
Technologien: „welche zulassen? Wie kontrollieren?“

This slide represents how we deliver service to our clients through the FuturEdge portfolio. These three phases represent a complete lifecycle framework and that’s one of the key advantages of FuturEdge. CSCdeveloped this framework to be responsive to the lifecycle you are in and to deliver the right service at the right stage. It starts with Shape, continues through Transform and then finishes in Manage. The function of Shape is to unlock business value. We help you understand and articulate the value of your portfolio in ways you may not have considered. Once the company understands and has optimized business processes, the next step is making sure that its IT strategy is aligned with those business processes. We provide a series of workshops to identify and analyze where there are misalignments. We then recommend where the best areas for improvement exist. This naturally leads to a roadmap and business case that justifies the improvement of those misalignments so that the company’s IT can be supported out of a business strategy. Transform is a technical activity to help realize the business value that you have identified in Shape. Here, you actually execute what we call ‘treatments’ to help move from your current state to your future state. CSC has identified 11 treatments shown on this slide. The full scope of those 11 treatments represents all of the things you could actually do to an application to modernize and improve it. We’ve industrialized these treatments to be standard and repeatable. Very often we apply not just one but a combination of treatments against a series of applications and a portfolio to achieve theend goal. Manage is about optimizing on-going business value. It’s not a steady state. You’re constantly looking to improve and optimize business value. It’s incorrect to think of Manage as being just management applications: helpdesks, user support, documentation, technical management, up down and performance. CSC provides discreet application management - something we’ve been doing for decades. Thedifference and value that FuturEdge brings in the Manage state is the notion of application portfolio management. This drives growth, reduces cost and strikes that right balance between asset based services and ‘as a service.’This is what’s new with FuturEdge Manage and what’s different from just technical application management. It’s the value we provide to our clients above and beyond just maintaining the technical state of applications.
