This document shares a message of support and prayer for a family with a young son named Gavin who is facing health challenges. It encourages keeping Gavin, his parents Josh and Nicole, and their whole family in prayers as Gavin fights at only 5 years old. The message expresses hope that Gavin will recover and return home soon thanks to his parents' love and support, as well as God's blessings.
This document discusses medical terminology related to movement and strength, and provides information about bradykinesia and myasthenia gravis. It defines bradykinesia as a slowed ability to start and continue movements, and impaired ability to adjust the body's position, which can be a symptom of Parkinson's disease. It also explains that myasthenia gravis is characterized by weakness and rapid fatigue of voluntary muscles, caused by a breakdown in communication between nerves and muscles, with initial symptoms including difficulty speaking, swallowing, and double vision. While there is no cure for myasthenia gravis, treatment can help relieve symptoms like weakness and difficulties with functions.

This document discusses the use of flunarizine for migraine prophylaxis. It covers the pharmacology, indications, contraindications, adverse effects, and evidence base. Flunarizine is a calcium channel blocker that is also antihistaminic and antidopaminergic. It has a long half-life and crosses the blood-brain barrier. Studies show it reduces migraine frequency by 50-75% compared to 30-50% for placebo. Common side effects include weight gain and sedation. While not licensed in the UK, some clinicians will prescribe it off-label for refractory migraine patients.
This short message wishes the recipient a blessed day and encourages them to remember that they are loved by their family, friends, and most importantly by Christ. It aims to spread positivity and remind the reader of the support system around them.
Living things like plants, animals, and people need food and nutrients, water, and air to survive. Plants, animals, and humans are living things that require food and nutrients, water, and air. In order to live, all living things must have access to food and nutrients, water, and air.
Alma redshifts of_millimeter_selected_galaxies_from_the_spt_survey_the_redshi...Sérgio Sacani
This document summarizes a study that used ALMA to conduct a blind redshift survey of 26 strongly lensed dusty star-forming galaxies (DSFGs) selected by the South Pole Telescope (SPT). ALMA detected 44 emission lines in 23 of the galaxies, identifying redshifts for ~70% of the sample. The mean redshift of the sample was z=3.5, higher than that of radio-identified DSFGs. This suggests the bulk of early star formation may have occurred in dusty galaxies at z>3, hidden from optical surveys by dust obscuration.
The document provides advice for starting the work day by praying for guidance, greeting colleagues with friendship, giving one's best with sincerity, planning and organizing with reflection, working with enthusiasm and happiness, striving for excellence, showing compassion and tolerance for others, receiving praise with humility, and knowing that God's love is present. The overall message is about maintaining a positive attitude and treating others with kindness throughout the work day.

2. Demokratie in der Krise ?
Enorme öko-soziale Herausforderungen
Intransparente Entscheidungsfindung
Mangelnde Partizipationsmöglichkeiten
Keine zufriedenstellende Lösungen
Nicht politisches Desinteresse sondern:
Gefühl der Machtlosigkeit !
3. Wege aus der Krise?
Offene Demokratie
lokal – regional – global
mündig - transparent - partizipativ - interkulturell
Ende der Machtlosigkeit !
4. ePartizipation heute
1. ePetitionen
(z.B. ePetitionsseite des Bundestages)
2. lokale Partizipations-Pojekte
(z.B. Bürgerhaushalt Hamburg, AskBristol, etc.)
3. Nationale und EU-Projekte
(z.B. EU-Bürgerkonferenzen,TID+, etc.)
Mit Web2.0 auf dem Weg zu einer
globalen Agora ?
5. Grenzen der ePartizipation
Zwei Dimensionen:
1. Sozio-politische Limitationen und
Missverständnisse
2. Technologische Einschränkungen
Grenzen der ePartizipation heute!
6. Sozio-Politische Grenzen
1. Missverständnis: Was ist ePartizipation?
→ Keine Alternative zu repräsentativer Demokratie
2. ePartizipation = eKonsultation
→ Kein direkter Einfluss auf Entscheidungen
Mangelnde Motivation
7. Technische Grenzen
Keine gemeinsame Texterstellung ohne
Moderation möglich
Moderierte Verfahren aufwendig und teuer
→ nicht skalierbar (beschränkte Teilnehmerzahl)
→ nur punktuelle Partizipation
negative Korrelation:
Je mehr TeilnehmerInnen,
desto weniger Partizipation
8. Was ist nötig?
→ Kollektive Intelligenz durch demokratische
Zusammenarbeit (ohne Moderation)
→ Skalierbarkeit
→ Sprachübergreifende Semantik
→ Einbindung zivilgesellschaftlichen
Engagements
→ Motivation durch konkrete
Handlungsmöglichkeiten
Sozio-technologische
Innovationen
13. Handeln
→ Aktiver Aufruf zum Handeln
→ Verknüpfung lokaler und globaler Verfahren
→ Werkzeuge & Verfahrenstools
→ Micro- und Macrofinanzierung
→ Anknüpfung an legislative Instrumente
Spürbare Erfolge im Alltag
14. Synergie
Dezentrales Portal
→ Synergien statt Konkurrenz
→ Pluralität statt Verschmelzung
→ Überall im Internet und in der realen Welt
→ Organisationsintern & öffentlich
Potenziertes Einflusspotential
15. Brücken bauen
Einbindung von NRO als Partner
Top-Down → Aktivierung aktiver Bürger
+ → Von Aktion zur Legislation
Bottom-Up → Echte politische Teilhabe
→ Hohe Motivation!
Staat = Zivilgesellschaft!
