Das Dokument bietet einen Überblick über Bibframe, eine bibliografische Rahmenstruktur, die in Zusammenarbeit mit der Library of Congress entwickelt wurde. Es beschreibt den Hype-Zyklus, verschiedene Akteure, Fortschritte und Projekte seit der Einführung im Jahr 2011 sowie die bevorstehenden Entwicklungen im Zusammenhang mit RDA und weiteren Initiativen. Abschließend werden Kriterien zur Evaluierung von Metadatenstandards und nützliche Links präsentiert.
