Zielsystem festlege n
– Systems Director Navigator for i wurde erweitert, damit Kunden mit mehreren Systemen über eine
einheitliche Oberfläche mit Set T arget System-Unterstützung arbeiten können. Aus der webbasierten
Systems Director Navigator-Bedieneroberfläche kann ein Kunden ein anderes IBM i-System oder eine
Partition durch Auswahl des Zielsystems verwalten. Da dieses neue System oder die Partition
ausgewählt wurde, sind alle Daten, die zur Systems Director Navigator-Bedieneroberfläche
zurückgegeben werden, für dieses neue System oder diese Partition bestimmt. Systems Director
Navigator for i, V6.1 kann als Zielsystem IBM i 5.4, 6.1 oder 7.1 verwalten. Mit der Set T arget System-
Funktion läuft der Systems Director Navigator-Managementserver an einer Stelle. Ein Browser kann
verwendet werden, um mehrere Umgebungen zu verwalten und das Management wird auf IBM i 5.4-
Umgebungen erstreckt.

5250 Emulation Portlet
– Systems Director Navigator for i enthält jetzt ein 5250 Emulation Portlet. Benutzer können ein 5250-
Fenster aus der Systems Director Navigator-Bedieneroberfläche aufrufen und somit eine einheitliche
Oberfläche für die Verwaltung von IBM i Systemen benutzen.

Weitere Verbesserungen
– Kunden können jetzt mehrere IBM Systems Director Navigator for i-Sitzung für denselben Benutzer aktiv
haben. Systems Director Navigator for i, Performance Data Investigator wird erweitert, um Disk
Response Time Bucket-Perspektiven und eine IBM T echnology for Java Memory-Perspektive
einzubeziehen.

IBM analy tic al model w hic h uses c harac teris tics from IBM internal w ork loads , TPC and SPEC benc hmarks . The rPerf model is not
intended to repres ent any s pec ific public benc hm ark res ults and s hould not be reasonabl us ed in that w ay . The model s imulates s ome of

the s y s tem operations suc h as C PU , c ache and memory . H ow ev er, the model does not s imulate dis k or netw ork I/O operations .
