MEDIAPLANUNG
The Elastic blog [1] recently featured webLyzard’s Visual Exploration of Sustainability Communication with Elasticsearch, a project [2] to track global information flows. Customized for the United Nations Environment Programme, the resulting platform identifies opinion leaders and analyzes the public debate surrounding the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Its custom-built dashboard [3] synchronizes multiple views in real time and uses aggregations to convey context information through a portfolio of visual tools.
Two of the webLyzard [4] co-founders will present a live demo of the platform and similar applications in other domains. They will discuss some of the underlying aggregations and their experience of recently migrating to Elasticsearch 6.5. The concluding outlook will show how predictive capabilities might help to anticipate mobility bottlenecks, support digital newsrooms, or maximize the impact of published content across social media channels.

News Literacy 2020 - How to Understand and Combat MisinformationwebLyzard technology
What strategies can newsrooms adopt to fight misinformation? At the Global Editors Network Summit 2018, Arno Scharl from webLyzard technology presented insights from two EU-funded research projects, PHEME and InVID, including public showcases of the developed methods such as the US Election 2016 Web Monitor and the UN Environment Web Intelligence platform (www.weblyzard.com/showcases).
Communication Success Metrics for the U.S. Climate Agency NOAAwebLyzard technology
Semantic Search and Decision Support for Public Outreach Campaigns of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA); Presentation at the 49th FIBEP World Media Intelligence Congress (Berlin, October 2017). Prof. Arno Scharl, MU Vienna and webLyzard technology.
This document summarizes automated rumor detection and visualization tools developed through EU research projects PHEME and InVID. It describes UNEP Live Web Intelligence for monitoring progress on UN Sustainable Development Goals, the US Election 2016 Web Monitor for analyzing alternative facts during the US election, and techniques like topic classification, stance classification, and cluster analysis used in both projects to verify Twitter and video content. Contact information and links are provided for each tool.

TEDx - Analyzing the Digital Talk: Visual Tools for Exploring Global Communic...webLyzard technology
This document describes various visual tools developed by MODUL University Vienna's Department of New Media Technology for exploring global communication flows on topics like sustainability, politics, and marketing. It discusses tools like UNEP Live Web Intelligence for monitoring discussions around sustainability, the US Election 2016 Web Monitor for analyzing discussions around the US election, and WYSDOM Success Metric for measuring sentiment trends, desired topics, and website traffic for stakeholders. The tools gather data from real-time content streams, enrich and contextualize it, then visualize patterns and trends through dashboards.
This Horizon 2020 Innovation Action started in January 2016 and builds a Web-based application to automatically identify newsworthy video content spread via social media, and confirm or reject its credibility using state-of-the-art analytical techniques. webLyzard leads the development of the application and the overall system integration, leveraging the existing video retrieval capabilities of its Web Intelligence platform.
The PHEME Project computes veracity scores across media, languages, and social networks. Analyzing big data repositories aggregated from context-dependent social media streams poses three major computational challenges: volume, velocity, and variety. This project focuses on a fourth, largely unstudied computational challenge: veracity. It models and verifies phemes (Internet memes with added information on truthfulness or deception) as they spread across media, languages, and social networks.
Publicly available at http://us2016.weblyzard.com, the US Election 2016 Web Monitor is an interactive Web intelligence system to analyze the perceptions of news and social media, companies and NGOs, and to find out how events impact the presidential race.
The Climate Change Collaboratory (www.ecoresearch.net/triple-c) aims to strengthen the relations between environmental stakeholders. The project provides tools to manage expert knowledge, a Facebook application in the tradition of games with a purpose, and a context-sensitive environment for collaboratively creating and editing documents.
