NGO-Führungskräfte arbeiten viele Stunden unter unsicheren und unbeständigen politischen
und wirtschaftlichen Umständen mit begrenzten Ressourcen, um den am stärksten
marginalisierten und benachteiligten Mitgliedern ihrer Gemeinschaften zu helfen*.
Nicht nur einzelne Führungspersönlichkeiten spielen eine zentrale Rolle bei der Gestaltung des
Schicksals vieler NGOs, sondern ihre Rolle und Wirksamkeit werden zum Teil auch durch das
Umfeld bestimmt, in dem sie arbeiten
