 the most frequent form is the dual education
 competent bodies are the Chamber of Industry
and Commerce (IHK) and the Chamber of Crafts
(HWK)
• decide on shortening or lengthening of the training
period, as well as on admission to the final exam
• monitor the implementation of vocational education
• advise trainers and trainees
• appoint a vocational training advisor
• determine the qualification of training centers and
trainers
• establish audit committees and enact examination
regulations
• conduct interim examinations and final examinations
 the theoretical part is mediated in a vocational
school and the practical part in a company

responsible for the education
 there are vocational education courses at
various schools such as technical schools, art
schools, trade and industrial schools
 since 1995 the dual education was gradually
extended on the german model
 2003 the dual vocational education was
regulated by law
 Students have to show a training contract with
a company and the corresponding company
have to prove a licence issued by the chamber
 the dual vocational training regualtions of the
craft to be adopted by the Ministry of Economy
in cooperation with the Croatian Chamber of
Crafts and in consultation with the Ministry of
Science, Education and Sports

I‘m glad to have participated in this internship. It was a very
informative journey.
During the internship, we learned a lot about the economic situation
in the countries of central and eastern Europe. I‘m very interested in
the organisation of the educational system in the Czech Republic and
Croatia. It shows me a lot of contrasts to Germany.
This makes me richer in experience and I have to say:

It was a very informative journey. During the internship, we learned a lot about the economic situation in the countries of central and eastern Europe. I‘m very interested in the organisation of the educational system in the Czech Republic and Croatia. It shows me a lot of contrasts to Germany. This makes me richer in experience and I have to say: “Thank you for this opportunity!”
