licherweise wird allerdings der DAX als Performanceindex betrachtet – so
zeigt auch die von der Frankfurter Wertpapierbörse bekannte DAX-Tafel
den Performanceindex.
2. Wie werden sie berechnet?
Die meisten Indizes der Deutsche Börse AG werden nach Börsenumsatz
und Marktkapitalisierung zusammengestellt und sind kapitalgewichtet.
Bei dieser Berechnung wird der Wert einer Aktie im Index nach ihrem An-
teil an der Gesamtkapitalisierung der im Index enthaltenen Werte ge-
wichtet. Die Deutsche Börse AG basiert die Indexberechnung dabei auf
den Streubesitz einer Aktie, d.h. auf die Gewichtung des im freien Handel
befindlichen Grundkapitals jedes Unternehmens, bei mehreren Aktienty-
pen wird die größere und liquidere Gattung berücksichtigt (im DAX bei-
spielsweise von Fresenius Medical Care die Vorzugs- anstelle der Stamm-
aktien).
