Research objectives
 Describe network structures, governance mechanisms and activities within
Agri-ProFocus (APF).
 Give insights on extent and pathways through which APF’s financial services
via marketplace events impacts farmers.
 Develop testable propositions conjecturing how structures and mechanisms

Research objectives  Describe network structures, governance mechanisms and activities within Agri-ProFocus (APF).  Give insights on extent and pathways through which APF’s financial services via marketplace events impacts farmers.  Develop testable propositions conjecturing how structures and mechanisms within APF and impact on farmer entrepreneurs. Selection of case samples - 10 entrepreneurs – to produce a convincing theory but avoiding saturation - Diverse categories and types based on their type (product), size, geographical location, gender, age, start-up date and initial social status - Attention to selection of comparable samples for both the treatment and control Data collection & analyses Retrospective data collection from entrepreneurs Both qualitative and quantitative data - Semi structured questionnaires, interviews, annual reports, field notes and observations Knowledge from literature study will be used to develop a fitting questionnaire Triangulation of data to improve rigor of the study – construct validity, internal validity, external validity Case study protocol and database to improve transparency and replication Analyses to identify patterns on which testable propositions will be developed – may be give one example??
