Europe is on its way to generate and make use of more data than ever. The project PrepDSpace4Mobility aims at contributing to the development of the common European mobility data space by supporting the creation of a technical infrastructure that will facilitate easy, cross-border access to key data for both passengers and freight. Given the enormous potential of data and digital technologies, the project is expected to have a positive impact on European competitiveness, society, and the environment.
Workshop gathered suppliers and users of data, relevant research institutes, associations, initiatives, politics, as well as technology and service providers in data spaces to ensure appropriate representation.
We had successful workshop, and greatly appreciate your practical field expertise and interactive contributions.

A single entry point for mobility data
Heterogeneity of systems and data access a central catalogue provides visibility to data available
on various NAPs and other public and private data ecosystems.
Interoperability with EU data spaces for tourism, energy, green deal, etc., for cross-sectoral use cases
Additional tool to facilitate/provide components for cross-border p2p data exchange.
Data spaces allow stakeholders to share data without giving up their sovereignty:
• Data held at the connector of the data owner, not pooled
• A central catalogue ensures discoverability of data and info on access conditions
• Access conditions and enforcement (usage control)
• Authentication mechanisms, different certification levels of participants
• Decentralised, common fair rules and governance
Towards a federation of mobility and logistics data ecosystems applying common
design principles, facilitating FAIR* data exchange based on European values
*Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reuse of digital assets

Provide structured inputs
• Concrete challenges related to data exchange in the sub-domain (e.g., clustered
per use case)
• Interoperability standards and protocols missing/required within and across
domains
• Standards endorsed by your sub-domain (both data and interfaces)
• Current gaps in terms of trusted and secure data exchange amongst stakeholders
• Expectations from a common data space for mobility
• Necessary functionalities and sector-specific requirements for the data space
