CEMtobent is a bentonite-based membrane specially
designed for waterproofing and protection of below
ground concrete structures and tunnels.
The CEMtobent membrane is a strong and robust
system that is suitable for use where working conditions
are difficult, giving you the confidence and assurance
that the waterproof membrane will function correctly.
An additional feature is the special rain protection
liner on the CEMtobent membrane that allows it to be
installed in all types of weather.
The active ingredient in the CEMtobent membrane is a
high quality sodium-bentonite powder, which is capable
of swelling up to 8 times its original dry volume. If ground
water comes into contact with the installed CEMtobent
membrane, the sodium-bentonite powder swells and
fills any voids or cracks in the concrete, producing a
watertight structure.
The freshly placed concrete bonds with the CEMtobent
membrane; therefore, the possibility of any water
circulation between the concrete and the membrane is
eliminated.
