The Bellwether Institute is holding an idea challenge to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the global consumer products supply chain. The challenge accepts the first 1,000 submissions by August 30th, 2014 on topics such as consumer behavior, product design, transportation practices, and more. Up to five winners will be selected by September 30th and receive $250 for the most practical ideas that reduce emissions in the supply chain. Submissions can be in English or other languages with English subtitles and must be in video or PowerPoint format.

1. Idea Challenge Guidelines
• Registration for the global idea campaign is now open.
• Bellwether Institute will accept the first 1,000 significant sustainable ideas that will reduce or eliminate
greenhouse gas emissions throughout the global Consumer Products Group Supply Chain or Supply
Chain Partners. The submission deadline is 30 August 2014.
• Participants can be individuals, teams or small businesses and submissions can address topics such as:

• Participants who meet the eligibility requirements will receive notice no later than September 8, 2014
regarding their advancement to the final round of competition.
• As many as five winners will receive up to USD $250.00 as an incentive for the most practical idea target
to reduce consumer products group supply chain greenhouse gas emissions. All participants or teams are
invited to join a support network of concerned citizens who are focused on improving air, water and land
use quality.

• Submissions can be in the form of video or written case studies using Microsoft Power Point. Video case
studies can be produced in Chinese (Simple), Filipino, Indonesian, Spanish, French and English but
English subtitles are required for non-English videos. Videos must be free of viruses, adware and
malware and must not exceed 3 minutes and 59 seconds. Written case studies must be in power point
format, Calibri 12 or higher.
