The new Kaspersky Sandbox solution automati-
cally analyses new suspicious files and sends the
decision to the installed EPP. As a result, orga-
nizations strengthen their protection from previ-
ously unknown threats even if they lack teams
of experienced threat analysts or have limited
resources.
According to a Kaspersky survey of IT deci-
sion-makers, 47% of SMBs and 51% of enter-
prises say that it is becoming more difficult to
differentiate between generic and advanced
attacks. This means security analysts have to
spend time evaluating numerous suspicious
files instead of focusing on investigating, and
responding to, the most critical threats. This
could be even more challenging, as larger SMBs
and small enterprises face an IT security talent
shortage, so all the responsibilities of managing
security fall on the shoulders of IT departments.
Nonetheless, these companies face pretty much
the same threats as fully established enterprises,
including advanced attacks.
“Companies, regardless of their size, need pro-
tection from threats that fly under the radar
of EPP. However, enterprise-grade solutions
against advanced attacks often require advanced
security analysts to operate them effectively.
Smaller companies can rarely afford to hire and
retain such talent. That’s why they need a solu-
tion, such as Kaspersky Sandbox, which can
solve this issue automatically without needing
to attract IT security specialists. For enterprises,
deploying Kaspersky Sandbox allows business
to optimize their budgets and staffing in branch
offices where there’s typically just IT department
specialists who are required do all the security
work.” – comments Sergey Martsynkyan, Head
of B2B Product Marketing at Kaspersky.
Unlike many threat intelligence services target-
ed at experienced security analysts, Kaspersky
Sandbox doesn’t require manual operations
to examine the impact of risky objects. When
Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business, or
other endpoint protection solutions, detect a
suspicious object that cannot be categorized as
malicious without deeply analyzing its behavior,
they automatically send it to run in Kaspersky

CrowdStrike, a leader in cloud-delivered endpoint
protection, announced the launch of Falcon for
Amazon Web Services (AWS) to help secure cloud
workloads. Falcon for AWS will be available in
AWS Marketplace, allowing customers to easily
purchase and deploy the solution with integrated
metering and billing, while also optimizing their
spend for elastic workloads.
CrowdStrike Falcon for AWS helps brings security
teams the enhanced visibility and protection they
need to defend against even the most sophisticat-
ed attacks. This solution delivers container securi-
ty through a single agent running on the node that
protects the instance itself as well as all containers
running on it, allowing for comprehensive protec-
tion and substantial pricing efficiencies.
Falcon for AWS can be automatically deployed as
new workloads are created, providing a dynamic
solution that ensures continual protection across all
workloads. Security teams that install Falcon for
AWS on their instances will see an immediate time
to value.
“Customers are looking for not only the most re-
liable threat protection but also modern, elastic,
pay-as-you-go models that meet the dynamic needs
of their businesses. With Falcon for AWS, we are
bringing customers next-generation protection, al-
lowing them to quickly and easily secure their work-
loads and scale their consumption as their business
Customers set to gain enhanced visibility and protection for elastic cloud
workloads with metered billing
needs change,” said George Kurtz, chief executive
officer and co-founder of CrowdStrike.
Falcon for AWS benefits include:
Protection – Additional coverage for Amazon Elas-
tic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) instances and the
containers they host, including customer managed
container environments and those running in Ama-
zon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) and
Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS)
for protection against even the most sophisticated
attacks.
Speed – Accelerates cloud migration and adoption,
allowing customers to seamlessly deploy and mon-
itor their workloads at scale, enabling immediate
protection and support for business agility. Falcon
for AWS helps provide security teams visibility and
protection, while enabling DevOps teams to contin-
ue operating without any friction.
Visibility – Continuous and comprehensive work-
load monitoring and discovery provide security
teams full visibility and help to ensure nothing is
missed and stealthy attacks are stopped, including
container visibility that supports Amazon EC2 in-
stances, Amazon ECS, and Amazon EKS containers
and workloads running Windows and Linux, includ-
ing Amazon Linux.
Metered billing – Customers pay for what they use
and are able to accelerate procurement by leveraging
that is natively designed to find patterns in the chaos
of the data landscape and help organizations turn
data into doing.
How important is data visibility for deci-
sion makers in IT and Business? How do
you enable this in real time?
Data is the foundation for business decisions, but
typically it’s in siloes and most of it goes unused.
Most organizations are overwhelmed with the in-
creasing proliferation of technologies and services
being brought in and having to be maintained in
increasingly complex ways. Teams need to under-
stand what is happening within their organization in
the moment, turn that insight into action, and build
for a more data-driven future. Splunk’s Data-to-Ev-
erything Platform helps customers get complete
visibility of what’s happening in their business in
real-time, and act on it.
Discuss if your solutions are ready for
multi-cloud / hybrid cloud environments?
Customer success is our number one priority and
our Data-to-Everything Platform is built to support
customers regardless of how their infrastructure is
built and the services they use. We allow customers
to ingest data from all kinds of platforms, be it cloud
platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP, or SaaS such as
cloud-based collaboration tools like Office365, Box,
GSuite or Atlassian.
Elaborate on your go to market model in
tandem with Redington as partner
Redington is a key partner for us in the region, act-
ing as our distributor across the Middle East and Af-
rica. Redington provides a wealth of experience and
technical expertise to key relationships and helps
ensure customers can bring data to every decision
and action they need to make.
How has the Middle East been as a growth
market for Splunk over the year? Discuss
any expansion plans for the year ahead?
Every region is a growth region for us and the Da-
ta-to-Everything Platform. According to IDC, more
than 5 billion consumers interact with data every
day—by 2025, that number will be 6 billion, or 75%
of the world’s population. In 2025, each connected
person will have at least one data interaction every
18 seconds. Now is the time for organizations in the
Middle East and Africa to recognise this trend and
embrace a platform approach that will drive busi-
ness outcomes through data. While the region has
definitely been a growth market over the years for us
it’s also worth bearing in mind some of the unique
regional challenges we face like any other software
organization in the region. However, by working
together Splunk and Redington are helping orga-
nizations seize the Data-to-Everything opportunity,
which is only limited by imagination and creativity.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh
Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the Unit-
ed Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, the four-
day event attracted over 145,000+ visitors from 135
countries to conduct business, exchange knowledge
and address today’s energy challenges to define to-
morrow’s energy landscape.
“We see ADIPEC as a remarkable global platform
for the energy industry players to connect and ex-
change knowledge.” said Omar Saleh, Head of En-
ergy & Manufacturing, Microsoft Middle East &
Africa. “Our continued participation at this event is
a reflection of Microsoft’s commitment to empow-
ering business transformation across the industry.”
“Currently, the energy sector can make the most out
of our cloud regions by availing enterprise-grade re-
liability and performance, combined with data resi-
dency and the broadest compliance standards.” Add-
ed Saleh. “Microsoft’s intelligent cloud can play a

ny’s efforts in in enabling organizations to acceler-
ate their digital journeys, enhancing AI readiness, as
well as collaborating on coalitions to address sus-
tainability and safety challenges.
Auditors conducted a thorough onsite inspection
of Huawei’s EMEA Enterprise organization and
processes, reviewing important procedures and in-
specting support outcomes. After the evaluation was
complete, TSIA determined that Huawei’s assisted
support processes exceeded industry benchmarks.
The designation is further evidence that Huawei
customers can rely on the company to deliver su-
perior technical support including how it effectively
handles phone, email, chat, and online support sub-
missions.
“We are honored to recognize and congratulate
the Huawei Enterprise Group for the achievement
of the TSIA Rated Outstanding Assisted Support
EMEA certification this year,” said Tom Pridham,
SVP Global Accounts & GM Advisory Services at
TSIA. “Huawei has clearly demonstrated an abili-
ty to consistently exceed customer expectations by
leveraging the excellence in people, processes and
technology for their EMEA region assisted technical
support interactions.”
As the only Chinese company that has obtained this
certification, Huawei is well known for its enterprise
technology services. The global service sharing
center (GSC) supports industry customers with six
channels, e.g. hotline, email, technical support web-
site, mobile app, social media (WeChat), and B2B.
Three global service centers
(GSCs), five RTACs (region-
al technical support centers)
and four CTACs (country
technical support centers) are
deployed globally, providing
services in 17 languages,
7x24 TAC support services,
and provide NBD (next busi-
ness day) or hour-level spare
parts delivery and on-site
support services. Huawei has
more than 1000 spare parts
warehouses to support spare
parts services in more than
170 countries/regions. The
major cities in 66 countries/
regions can provide four
hours of spare parts delivery.
At the same time, the Middle East Africa TAC, Asia
Pacific TAC, and Eurasia TAC of Huawei Enter-
prise Service won the “Support Personnel Center of
Excellence” certification at the conference. This is
the industry’s affirmation of the continuous innova-
tion and practice of Huawei Enterprise Service in
the service of global technical support personnel,
and the provision of high-quality customer service
experience. At this point, the technical support cen-
ters of Huawei Enterprise Service overseas (except
China) have been all certified by TSIA Support Staff
Excellent program and will provide consistent and
high-quality technical support services for overseas
customers.
“This important certification reflects our unrelenting
focus on the customer in every aspect of our busi-
ness. Support is an essential part of the Customer
Experience, and this certification shows that our
assisted support capabilities are amongst the best
in the industry,” said Mr. Sun Maolu, President of
Huawei Enterprise Technology Services. “We are
determined to do even better and constantly improve
our service and provide more value to our customers
and partners”.

to not only drive greater efficiency, agility and in-
telligence through their process-centric applications,
but also achieve greater transparency for a more ex-
plainable AI.” Mike Piech, vice president and gener-
al manager, Middleware, Red Hat.
Red Hat Process Automation now supports an ap-
plied AI approach to automated decisioning. This
enables users to incorporate predictive analytics into
their decision management applications to create
intelligent, automated systems that help them better
interpret and respond to changing market dynamics.
With the latest release of Red Hat Process Automa-
tion, customers can import and execute predictive
models expressed in Predictive Model Markup Lan-
guage (PMML), an industry standard for integrat-
ing and exchanging information between machine
than just a new connectivity service for the enter-
prise WAN edge. It is paving the way for significant
benefits for our customers and significant new reve-
nue streams for Ooredoo Kuwait by leveraging our
security operations center, clean pipe, secure WiFi,
email security, end-point security and advance threat
protection.”
As organizations increase the use of business-crit-
ical cloud-based applications and infrastructures,
they are becoming more attuned to the benefits of
extending these tools to remote locations through
software-defined wide-area network (SD-WAN)
architectures, a network segment now referred to
as the WAN Edge. In fact, because the need to pro-
vide the services and applications being generated
by digital transformation to the WAN Edge is ac-
celerating so rapidly, the global SD-WAN market is
projected to reach $4.5 billion and grow at over 40%
CAGR by 2022.
“SD-WAN offers accelerated connectivity, cost sav-
ings, and increased performance for Software-as-a-
Service (SaaS) applications. However, the benefits
of SD-WAN cannot be truly realized without secu-
learning (ML)
p l a t f o r m s
where the pre-
dictive models
are created and
trained, and
decision man-
agement ap-
plications that
use such mod-
els to automate
rules for spe-
cific business
outcomes.
By incorporat-
ing predictive
capabilities within a Decision Model and Notation
(DMN) decision model, users can not only analyze
and act on data in an automated way, but also gain
greater visibility into how an automated system
reached a given conclusion. This transparency and
control contribute to a more explainable AI and can
help organizations better address regulatory require-
ments such as the European Union’s General Data
Protection Regulation (GDPR), which includes spe-
cific provisions that support a right to explanation
for automated decisioning.
The latest release of Red Hat Process Automation
also delivers enhancements to improve the overall
user experience.
rity as an integral part of the solution,” said John
Maddison, EVP of products and CMO at Fortinet.
“Without an integrated security solution, organi-
zations are forced to overlay security, creating sig-
nificant overhead and leaving gaps in protection as
security and management systems remain isolated.
We’re pleased to work with Ooredoo Kuwait to de-
liver the region’s first secure SD-WAN managed ser-
vice and continue our focus of delivering integrated
SD-WAN and advanced security to enterprise cus-
tomers around the world.”
