Projects highlights 2012
1. Project Management Career Highlights
Enterprise Money Movement Project:
Managed budget/forecasts for a $22.3 million dollar project. This was five year project involving a portfolio of 200+
sub-projects and numerous project managers. The potential to overspend was great due to the number of
components and stakeholders.
Impact: Project successfully completed at 97.5% of budget.
AMEX Recycling Program :
Created and developed a pilot paper recycling program. Researched vendor options, designed the recycle boxes
and recycling guidelines.
Impact: The recycling program was adopted by company and is still being used 10 years later. The
company receives payment for the recycled paper which pays for the operational cost of the program.
Arizona Public Service (APS) Vendor Expansion Project:
Researched and established vendor relationships and negotiated contracts with new vendors to expand the
company’s approved vendor list.
Impact: Increased minority and female owned businesses by 15-20% while continuing to meet price,
customer service, product quality, and availability and delivery standards.
APS- Palo Verde Emergency (JIB) Project:
Developed and tested a strategic plan to operate a multi-agency Joint Information Bureau (JIB) that provided public
and media information dissemination during any Palo Verde Nuclear Power Plant emergency. A faulty plan could
result in public confusion or physical problems.
Impact: Plan was executed and proven successful during an actual emergency alert that occurred in 1993
on a Sunday.

2. Project Management Career Highlights
AMEX TRCC Real Estate Project:
Managed Real Estate space allocation and facilities portfolio for 2,500 technology employees and contractors.
Impact: Reduction of moving costs by 15%
AMEX GFT Re-stack Project:
Project manager of re-stack of 100 people. Without any historical data to utilize, identified all impacted teams (i.e.:
computers, connectivity, mail service, phones, special equipment, etc)
Impact: Move was successful even though it rained with no unexpected down time.
APS Office Equipment Inventory Reduction Project:
Managed company 368 copiers and faxes (leased and owned) throughout Arizona and New Mexico including product
selection and vendor bids, contract negotiations, vendor service level agreements and financial analysis of cost per copy.
Due to corporate headquarters move and new centralized copier approach, overall inventory had to be reduced.
Impact: Reduction in copier/fax inventory and cost by 25%
APS Corporate Headquarters Relocation Project:
Structured, facilitated and supervised the installation of new copiers, faxes and copy centers for two multi-storied office
complexes. Created a project plan and schedules for nine vendors and 40 departments
Impact: Due to tactical planning and communication, move with smoothly with no issues or downtime.
APS Office Acquisition Project:
Devised a new acquisition system for office supplies and forms through utilization of centralized copier and supply rooms on
each floor. Responsibilities included determining product selection and quantities along with developing the cabinet
design/setup and re-stocking schedule. New approach to acquiring supplies was well received.
Impact: Due to strategic planning and communication, new approach was received well and costs were reduced.
