Technologyhas createdmanykioskmachinesfordifferentclients according to their need and purpose.
The software requirements for the given modules are as follows:
 Photo module:
The basic criterion of this module is to take photo of the person standing in-front of the touch
screen installed machine. The following are the parameters which have to be considered to
design the software:
 Whena personcomesin-front of the machine and touch’s the machine’s screen, it has
to display option as turn-on camera, and when a person clicks on it, the camera has to
start and the picture of the person have to be displayed on the screen.
 The average height of person in India ranges from 5’ to 6’5”. So, irrespective of the
height the camera has to identify the person standing and display proper required
image.
 These machines may be installed in a shopping mall or outside a photo studio or
anywhere else.Sothere maybe differentkindof background images. We have to make
sure that the background is always nullified. The background in the images should
always be either White/black/sky blue which the customer can choose irrespective of
the surroundings.
 Other aspect is the brightness. The surrounding climate keeps changing, it may be
sunny,cloudy,dark,brightetc.,but,regardlessto the climate outside, the photos must
be displayedanddeliveredwithsame brightness(agoodqualityimage).Autobrightness
adjustment should be there, customer should not waste his time adjusting the
brightness of the image which also makes his work complicated.
Once picture istakenby the customer,the followingstepshave tobe processed
before the customer gets the printout.
 Once the picture is taken two options shall be displayed OK or retake.
Retake will lead to a capture of fresh image.
 If the customer selects OK, it should take customer to size selection
page Postcard size or Passport size photos.
 Once the customer selects the desired size, pre-fixed number of copies should be
displayed for selection 8/12/16/20. Apart from these pre-fixed number of copies
customer is not supposed to get his desired number like 1 or 2 or 15 etc.
 Once the number of copies is selected, payment page must be displayed.
 One the payment is received, receipt and the photos are to be delivered.
