Because they Haven't Learned, Have forgotten or Don’t Know,
1. Who God is and,
2. What He has done for them and,
3. What He has given them and,

Because what they learned, thought and believed was
the Christian life didn’t work.

you depend on rather than the person of Jesus Christ
(in you) and His finished work on the cross.

32. Illustrating the Truth!
The law says, don’t do that, but do this. Avoid that and abstain
from this. Do it!
If you have died with Christ to the elementary principles of the world, why, as
if you were living in the world, do you submit yourself to decrees, such as, “Do
not handle, do not taste, do not touch!” (which all refer to things destined to
perish with use)—in accordance with the commandments and teachings of men?
These are matters which have, to be sure, the appearance of wisdom in selfmade religion and self-abasement and severe treatment of the body, but are of
no value against fleshly indulgence. (Colossians 2:20-23)
You were redeemed form the empty way of life handed down
to you from your forefathers. (1 Peter 1:18)

made God mad at me.

• I need to trust Jesus and say
yes to him
• I am complete in Jesus.
• All my sins, past and present
future are forgiven.
You were redeemed form the empty way of life handed down

God didn’t redeem me with stuff that won’t last like
silver and gold, but Jesus, the sinless one gave up His live
and poured out His Blood for me. By dying on the cross
for me and making me a new creation, Jesus has
redeemed me from the empty and futile way of life that I
learned growing up in my family and other experiences
that led me to believe that I was a hopeless and helpless
addict. (1 Peter 1:18,19 and 2 Corinthians 5:17)
You were redeemed form the empty way of life handed down
