Today, I was invited by Prof. Monica Divitini at NTNU Trondheim, Department of Computer Science, to talk about my research, especially about ongoing work.
I talked about designing for workplace learning, and other knowledge intensive activities.
A major research stream in the past and present has been data-driven and reflective learning. Other ongoing research stream are: virtualising face-2-face trainings for professionals, designing adaptive systems to improve reading comprehension, using tree visualisations to represent complex sensor data to provide added value of positive impact on wellbeing and stimulate emotional connection to machines, and to design for developing new data-driven business models from the perspective of organisational learning and knowledge creation.

Research Stream: Data-Driven
and Reflective Learning
Reflection in the workplace is iterative,
and can be triggered by tools.
(Pammer, Prilla & Krogstie, 2017 – IJTEL)
Data can inform reflection, but data
capturing, data interpretation, and
having time for learning are key
challenges in workplaces
(Rivera-Pelayo et al., 2017 – toCHI; Pammer et
al., 2015 - ECTEL)
