In today’s message we will look at the value of remaining disciplined in the areas of decisions, devotions, doubts, desires and duties as a way to embrace the life we experience each day.
2. Discipline Yourself
Hebrews 13:8-9 (NIV) 8Jesus Christ is the
same yesterday and today and forever. 9Do
not be carried away by all kinds of strange
teachings. It is good for our hearts to be
strengthened by grace, not by ceremonial
foods, which are of no value to those who eat
them.
3. Discipline Yourself
Everyone makes adjustments in life. As certain
experiences come our way we either embrace them,
if they are positive or flee, fight or ignore them if
they are negative. The will of man within us has the
capacity to adjust to ever changing situations.
Although this is a gift given unto us by God it can
also be the catalyst that leads us down a path that is
contrary to our God. In today’s message we will
look at the value of remaining disciplined in the
areas of decisions, devotions, doubts, desires and
duties as a way to embrace the life we experience
each day.
4. Discipline Yourself
Discipline
the practice or methods of teaching and enforcing
acceptable patterns of behavior
the ability to behave in a controlled and calm way even
in a difficult or stressful situation
Psalm 30:5 (NKJV) For His anger is but for a
moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure
for a night, But joy comes in the morning.

have been with me from the beginning.

LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast
to him. For the LORD is your life, and he will
give you many years in the land he swore to give
to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Mount Sinai. Present yourself to me there on top of the
mountain. 3No one is to come with you or be seen
anywhere on the mountain; not even the flocks and herds
may graze in front of the mountain.
8. Discipline Yourself
3. Discipline Your Doubts

5. Discipline Your Duties
Acts 2:42-47 (NIV) 42 They devoted themselves to the apostles'
teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and

believers were together and had everything in common. 45
Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he
had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the
temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate
