 For organisms to survive and stay healthy, they need robust defences
 We live in an environment full of ‘non-self’ competitive cells and potentially
damaging molecules
 House dust contains around 9,000 types of fungi and bacteria
 Our gut contains trillions of microorganisms
 We are exposed to toxic and oxidative stress
 To meet this challenge, the immune system exists to sense these antigens and
pathogens and protect us from damage and disease …
