CROP, PRODUCTION AND MARKETING OF ARCOIRIS TROUT FOR THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF
PAMPAROMÁS, PROVINCE OF HUAYLAS, PERU
Capital Pamparomás
INTRODUCTION
As part of the strategies of this non-profit society to promote well-being in the community, it seeks to
implement in the community of Pamparomás, district of the province of Huaylas, department of Ancash,
Peru; The purpose of this project is to provide the systematic chain of applicable functions, averages and
work processes that are organized, planned and managed in this rainbow trout aquaculture project; In
their cultivation and commercialization, for the socioeconomic development, of the population that is in
extreme poberty, the knowledge of techniques and the appropriate infrastructure for the use of their
natural resources, this project has the purpose of that they are trained to make their people self-
sustaining.
As a social development project, it is a team work with professional experts who are specified in their
responsibilities in designing a technical project; On the other side work with the operating group
dedicated to the cultivation of rainbow trout; With another group dedicated to the organization and
coordination of the last project dedicated to marketing, advertising and marketing.
In addition to contributing to the use and care of the water resource, it is agreed to build a
sedimentation tank that allows the purification of water for the use of an agricultural crop, since 90% of
the population is dedicated to this activity, being the Base of their food as own consumption
However due to the socioeconomic situation, the nutritional food base is low, which is why indicators of
anemia and malnutrition are alarming in the area, mainly in children and adolescents. This project
incorporates a sale of the trout to the population well below the cost of marketing with the purpose
that is interested and is accessible the consumption of this nutritious product.
The functionality of the project is the beginning of a group of 4 people to install the infrastructure of the
crop and to train, to carry out the activities from start to harvest, some part of the profits reinvest them
to create another infrastructure to another group and so consecutively in such a way Involves a large
part of the population to activate their economy and nutrition, these groups are established in key
points, to create a support network that achieves the approximation to several villages and systemic
sustainability between production and marketing to the internal market of the surrounding cities .
BACKGROUND
Aquaculture has become an important development activity for Peru with a growth rate of 20% per
year.
The president of the National Fisheries Society, Elena Conterno, assured that the aquaculture activity
could contribute to the Peruvian GDP growing at higher rates.
In Peru we have a coast of 3,000 kilometers, 12,000 lagoons and diverse rivers, that means an
opportunity to develop aquaculture. But it is important to be able to cope with the additional costs
faced by this activity, As the logistics, security and relationship costs with the communities, which have
high expectations".
The development of "trout" in the Ancash region aims to achieve commercial dynamism, in our case, the
community of Pamparomás requires an impulse to integrate in this development and promotion of the
fish consumption initiative and to reactivate its Economy, promoting employment and improving the
food conditions of the population.
Trout is the species that in recent years has had a remarkable increase in its cultivation. Puno, Junín,
Cajamarca, Huaraz and Lima are the areas where their upbringing is most developed. In the province of
Canta, in the Lima region, there has been an increase in the cultivation of this species in the Chillón river
basin, which descends from the Cordillera de la Viuda and forms the Chuchun lagoon, where trout are
currently cultivated in cages.
Likewise, the waters of this river are taken advantage of by the communities of Huaros and Cullhuay,
where small farms of trout have been installed with great success. In Obrajillo, which belongs to the
province of Canta, at 2,600 meters above sea level, there are also trout crops, but there is a lack of
water and a good production management.
Aquaculture in the department of Ancash is preponderantly developed in the marine environment and
dedicated to the cultivation of "trout" in the sierra is in rapid growth, although at the level of the coast,
aquaculture is incipient with the cultivation of tilapia. Few communities in this department are
dedicated to the cultivation of trout and its economy has improved considerably by the
commercialization abroad.
The domestic market is earmarked for a limited part of the production, thus providing the opportunity
to make more investment in this activity, and improve the food of Peruvians
Aquaculture is a possibility that had already been implemented in the district but due to the lack of
training, guidance and supervision; Leads to the completion of this innovative project. However the
season that was maintained with advice and organization was a successful project that not only met the
marketing, but the food of residents and tourist attraction.
Pamparomás
The success of trout farming depends on several factors such as water quantity and quality, seed
density, uniformity in size, management and feeding (DINARA, 2010).
The quantity and quality of the water are the most important factors to be taken into account for the
cultivation of the trout, requiring an oxygen level above 7.0 ppm at the entrance of the tanks and not
less than 5.0 ppm in the discharge, the pH must Between 7 and 8.5 and the optimum temperature for
fattening is 15 ° C (Corral, et al 2000).
For their cultivation, ground ponds (preferably geo-coated), in stone or in concrete and cages can be
used. It is advisable to have ponds of two sizes: small for the stage of nursery and bigger for fattening.
Geographic location
Hidric Resource
It has a length of approximately 150 km. The lagoons and / or dams are geomorphologically located in
the transition from the valleys and canyon stages, in the northern mountain range of the country. The
source of water supply is through the gullies And the existing natural outcrops (springs), in the upper
part of the lagoons, being captured its waters through bocatomas and Dams to regulate the proper use
of the water resource. Another of the natural sources of water resource repression are the avenue
times, when water comes out of the repressed lagoons, they form in their path streams and streams,
which in turn are natural tributaries of the river Pamparomás. The area of study is comprised in the
headwaters of the Nepeña river basin; Locally involves the basins of Negra Huacanán, Carhuacocha,
Ricococha, Yanacocha, Huayta -cocha, etc., that feed the rivers Uchpacancha, Chaclancayo, Chunga,
Pisha, among other creeks.
Climatology
The project area has a rainy and dry climate, the rainy season occurs between December and March and
the dry season the rest of the year, its temperatures vary between 10 ° C and 15 ° C in the day and 0 ° C
and -10 ° C in the evenings, its annual average temperatures of 10 ° C. It has rainy summers and dry
winters with heavy frost.
Economic Sector:
The data that shows us the National Institute of Statistics is that 90% of the population, is to establish to
which sector of the economy belongs the economic activity that will develop in Commerce, Service and /
or Tourism.
In Peru on domestic consumption, total growth recorded 96.46%, where in 2011 the domestic market
consumed 20 265 tonnes, amounting to 39,813 tonnes during 2015. "For the domestic market,
production doubled, the supply of protein increased, And recorded the greatest generation of work and
saving foreign currency for the country, "said the deputy minister.
The species that stood out in their internal commercialization during the year 2015 were trout (90.04%),
tilapia (4.9%), shrimp (2.16%) and the fan shell (1.30%). In addition, the latest INEI report on average fish
consumption per person is 15.4 kg.
Rainbow Trout Product Features
The rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) belonging to the family Salmonidae, is a fish originating from
tributary rivers of the Sacramento River in California, North America, for repopulation and exploitation
of rivers of cold waters, in zones of temperatures between 10 and 18 ° C, In the country the number of
farms dedicated to the truchicultura has increased, due to the great demand existing for the delicacy of
its meat (Betancur, et al 2010).
Because it presents excellent characteristics for its production in captivity, it has been widely distributed
in the cold water bodies of many countries of the world.
The body of the rainbow trout is characterized by having fusiform form and presenting iridescent bands
in the flanks, from which it takes its name. The dorsum is dark and has a light belly, has black spots and
is covered by fine scales and its coloration varies according to age and sex (Quintero, et al. 2011, lives in
low temperature waters, requiring 9-12 ° C for the production of fingerlings and 12-18 ° C for fattening.
In Colombia the species is adapted very well and its cultivation is done in areas that are above 2,000 m
Trout are native fish of high and mountainous regions where there are cold and clear waters, with
channels that show marked topographical differences that originate rapids, jumps and waterfalls. These
are rapids, with a pronounced speed of stream and stony soil, very common in high mountain rivers,
most frequented by trout. The rainbow trout is characterized by relying on water with high oxygen
concentrations, above 6 mg / L, turbulent or with a certain movement of water and temperatures
between 11 to 18 ° C (Ortega 2003). In general, the Sierra Norte is a region suitable for the cultivation of
this fish, since it has crystalline and well oxygenated waters.
Food
The food provided to the trout must be of high nutritional quality, so that they meet the requirements
of the fish and they can enjoy good health. The food supplied should be adequate in relation to the size
of the fish. In the market there are several brands of palletized foods, with a wide variety of sizes of the
granules, which allow adequate food for each size of the fish. The company must have a procedure and
record of daily feeding.
The food should be stored on a shelf or pallet in a ventilated place, isolated from humidity, high
temperatures and solar radiation as the heat heats the food causing rancidity and denaturation of its
components.
It is necessary that the responsible of the farm is very aware of the behavior of the fish, because if there
is an overload of individuals in the ponds, the trout will begin to compete for the food.
It is an intensive food industry, which accounts for 40% of the cost of production Cost US $ O.70 per kg.
Diseases
They are often silent and lost on the farm, and regularly go unnoticed, which is why the considerable
presence of supervision by the expert; Are usually caused by microorganisms, such as: bacteria, viruses,
protozoa, fungi and worms
JUSTIFICATION
This proposal is supported by the fact that the Ancash region: a) has more than 260 high Andean
lagoons, which have not yet been studied, but if at least 20% of these could have qualities for the
development of fish farming using cages, Would be exceptional, (b) in this region important volumes of
fishmeal and fish oil are produced, irreplaceable inputs for the preparation of balanced feed, intensive
and super intensive fish culture. This advantage means a significant reduction in operating costs and
therefore greater economic profitability, c) the region has for many years had the Estación Albicara de
Huaylas, designed to produce "trout" seeds, which will have to be Empowered to meet and guarantee
future demands.
Pamparomás
The district of Pamparomás located in the Department of Ancash has lagoons distributed in the black
mountain range that have become natural dams by the rains, the inhabitants have been able to obtain
use of these, however by leaks and lack of storage, recovery Of this water resource has been made
possible only to 20%, so the construction of storage is a vital technical strategy for the sustainability of
the crops.
In the district, in which 9,153 inhabitants live, distributed in a capital and rural populations called
hamlets, classified by the state, as poverty and extreme poverty, with indicators of 97% of anemia and
malnutrition, The main labor activity of the population is Agriculture, however the technology that has
been implemented has been intermittent, by the production technique; Being necessary the training
and chains of commercialization that sustain an active cycle for the demands that the market requires. It
is in the interest of the people of Pamparomás to get involved in reactivating their economy.
In our population there are indicators that show the opportunity to develop action plans to build
employment promotion within the community, since the employment rate is derived from 92% in
agriculture, with an economic activity of 50.2% and non-working With 25%, workers without primary to
64%, the interpretation of these data is multifactorial, to understand the following indicators since in
the total population 73% of poverty, in extreme situation 43% and not extreme of the 26.8%, data
represented by National Institute of Statistics.
Therefore, the needs of economic-labor revival, training in water and agricultural technologies,
production and marketing chains, push the labor force; In which people with productive ages sustain
activities that are affordable to a living with sustenance, because it is one of the factors by which the
field worker migrates from this community; That is why it is necessary to implement social projects that
cover a whole labor process that is strengthened by a series of technical projects and training, so that
the residents feel constantly supported and maintain the labor sustainability.
In addition, low food quality, in the district of Pamparomás, maintains the majority of the people with
diseases acquired by the low nutritional level in the daily diet of the Pamparomino, lower level of
learning in children, this project considers the support to the item of feeding; Since the trout is one of
the proteins with greater amount of nutrients; It is effective to promote and access this food and make
it feasible no matter the economic state or remoteness of the coast where fish manages to be part of
people's diet.
PURPOSE
Social project designed in the development of farms in aquaculture of rainbow trout in the District of
Pamparomás, Province of Huaylas, Department of Ancash, Peru; For the generation of employment,
adequate use of water resources and food and nutrition, which includes from the technical construction
of ponds and embryonic, the whole phase of culture and feeding of fish, from the culture of young, to
fattening Commercial size and harvest. The transport and commercialization of aquaculture products, as
well as environmental care in the use of sedimentary ponds for filtration and cleaning of water, for the
use of the water resource to the use of agricultural irrigation.
Three bases of action for the satisfaction of the needs of the population consolidating the interests that
the climate change, economic and modernization that the communities of the Mountain range of Peru
cross.
Employment
The work situation is the activity that allows a society to be balanced, responsible and healthy, for young
people and family heads to have an economic asset guarantees the confidence and security in the
quality of life.
Environment
To act with conscience on the water resources that the climate change has destabilized, to guarantee
the uses that the population requires; In the case of aquaculture, technical measures are established in
which the use of water is sustainable and purified for irrigation of agricultural crops.
Food and Nutrition
To establish a support for the consumption of trout by means of the accessibility to this product, in its
cost and approach of sale to the communities that it is difficult to obtain this food rich in nutrients, by its
high concentration in vitamins and minerals; Contributing to minimize malnutrition and anemia, which is
a major concern in the population.
COMPONENTS
Infrastructure
Reservoir
The reservoir is rectangular in shape, built directly buried, below the surface of the ground; Its location
is determined mainly by the necessity and convenience of maintaining the pressure in the service
network, guaranteeing maximum pressures in the ponds; Located as close as possible and to a greater
elevation to the ponds.
Sedimentation tank
A tank in which water containing sedimentable solids with a filling and cleaning system is retained for a
sufficient time; Where the flow rate is low enough to remove by gravity some of the suspended matter;
As a recirculation system for reusable water filtration.
Installations for cultivation
The choice is a semi-natural pond, to form an artificial habitat capable of satisfying the biological
requirements of the animal in its natural environment, of the nutritional needs and of sanitary
protection of the fish in cultivation, in order to obtain favorable results in the levels Expected output;
Often has dimensions of 30 mt. Long by 10 mt. Wide. One is built side by side in parallel, each one of
them supplying and draining
The drain is in the center of the tank and is protected by a mesh curtain. This position ensures that the
water forms a vortex toward the center that accumulates debris for easy removal. The drainage pit or
pipe is connected to a bent pipe on the side of the tank, which can be used to regulate the water level.
Training
Instruct knowledge of aquaculture activity, fattening fish in captivity, methods and species; Added value
to fish meat for its quality and health. Attention to its importance, not only as a way for a sustainable
family economy, but as an activity of future, respectful with the environment and that allows to
conserve the natural resources; Elaboration of work plan and feeding system, oxygenation, water quality
measurement, product divisions, and work shift training to establish a constant care of the product.
The cultivation process is a complete care and the aquaculture has to be absolutely given to work, since
at the time of raising and separating fish by size is not adequate, it is usually that the trout begins to
maintain struggles for space, which can Bodily injury, development of fungi, etc. As a consequence a
delay in the growth of the product.
OBJECTIVE
Create, implement and develop rainbow trout crop for breeding, production and marketing in the
communities of Pamparomás, Province of Huaylas, Department of Ancash, for the sustainable

nutritional quality of the population and the competitiveness of the activity.
• Promote and generate groups that are participatory in the responsibility of rearing rainbow trout as an
innovation in employment.
• Regularize and establish plans in production processes with quality and efficiency, comply with the
standards established to obtain a high quality product, and thereby improve the economy and income
level.
• Support the consumption of rainbow trout to reduce malnutrition and anemia in the population.
PROJECT TYPE
Established under a social project standard for community development, the interest is mainly to cover
the support to communities in the area of the sierra located in the Cordillera Negra of Peru, starting
with the District of Pamparomás, in the subjects that agree to the climate change and the causes that
are generated of this, on the contribution in the feeding, proper use of the water resource and
protection to the environment; In the joint work of social actors within this community, encouraging the
work in the field; Promoting the aquaculture initiative by providing a means of employment and training
to the benefits that trout farming generates in the population, such as nutrition and economic growth
for a stable quality of life.
This project is distributed in three action areas: Sustainability of Water Resources, Infrastructure
Construction for Rainbow Trout, and Training in the cultivation of rainbow trout.
With a participative methodology, when implementing a program of work arising from a problem, due
to lack of employment and low economy, that originates within the community, it is intended that the
solution is given through the cultivation, aging, production and fattening of Rainbow trout, which
improves the standard of living of the people involved. In the study of this event that are done in a
natural group takes advantage of training and training to encourage product quality.
DIAGNOSIS
Internal situation of the group
The members of the non-governmental organization "Pamparomás Creciendo Juntos" are made up of
natives of this community who are the first central group with 4 inhabitants of the capital of this district
to initiate the planning of strategies in Pro of the community, as connoisseurs of first instance of the
place.
Pamparomás, because it is the commercial activity area and the beginning of Tourism, is chosen as the
first place in which to carry out for the first time the implementation of the integral project for the
cultivation of rainbow trout. In addition to contributing to the conservation of the water resources of
this place and creating employment sources, it will be obtained food of great consumption in the region
at both the family level and tourism level, thus allowing fish farming to become a productive activity of
Self-employment for earning income to improve their living conditions. The interest in developing this
activity in the area is due to the potential of its land, the need to establish fixed sources of work, is the
populated center and access road for other districts, along the highway that crosses it.
External situation
The community has the basic services of light, private telephones, drinking water, 1 paved road, rural
transport, health home, schools from kindergarten through high school.
The access to the town is through highway that goes of Moro - Caraz understanding near Costa
Chimbote to Province Huaylas; According to the property regime, the highest percentage of the area of
Pamparomás, corresponds to ejidal lands, wetlands and rural area. Whose main use is of an agricultural
type where the cultivation of temporary crops is practiced; Such as: maize, alfalfa, potatoes and
perennials such as peach, avocado among others, as well as small livestock mainly for cheese
processing; Pigs, chicken and pigs for their own consumption.
In the community there are lagoons and rivers, these are used for irrigation of the crops that are in the
mountains, in the elevated areas of the sierra.
Agricultural and commercial activity are the main sources of income in the community, which allows the
direct sale of some fish products to small and medium scale.
Internal problems of the community
One of the main problems within the community is the unemployment of a part of the population,
which causes that many inhabitants of the locality emigrate to other places, looking for alternatives of
work to survive along with their families.
The disorganization within the community to perform tasks or tasks together and for the benefit of the
community itself; Poor access to quality education, low pay for work done in the field, little training and
supervision of projects that have been implemented.
ACTION PLAN
The key to a stable and sustainable work effect are, on the one hand, the adequate distribution of ponds
for each biological stage will allow a periodic, rotating rearing of fry, juveniles, pre-commercial,
commercial and breeding, and at the same time to enable the rational and Water quality is integrated
technical project carried out by the professional expert, biologist or veterinarian, aquaculture expert.
1st stage
First month dedicated to the infrastructure, through the supervision of the expert professional for
optimal facilities in the construction of a water storage as a maximum use of the resource and maintain
a constant fluctuation that allows the guarantee of the crop. This infrastructure is made by the
workforce of a group of people, this construction period is possible in 1 month of operation.
Ground
At the same time a second group carries out the construction of an establishment for the embryo
breeding of trout, the water distribution channels and channels and the ponds, in the field planned for
the crop this infrastructure is realized in the same first month.
These periods of time are possible since the first construction is basic and only with the necessary
elements to give gradual consistency to the project.
2nd stage
The next stage begins in the second month; Is based on the installation of tools and elements necessary
for the health and care of the crop, such as water pumps, filters, nets, thermometers, it is sought that
the energy that is consumed of these, or by solar absorption implementing panels, since Helps us
contribute to the care of the environment by renewable energy.
The fundamental characteristics of the water to be determined for use in fish culture are: pH (water
acidity), total hardness (quantity of carbonates), amount of dissolved oxygen and temperature (winter
and summer). In addition, the presence of elements harmful to the life of the fish, such as iron, arsenic
and lead, and excess of other heavy metals will be determined.
Training to the integral and committed social actors of the culture, breeding of the trout by the expert
professional directed to the responsible ones and operative of the trout farm, establishing, program,
constant supervision, plan and organization of the actions in each stage of the trout, Proper handling
and care.
Third Stage
Start of stage 3rd month.
Finished this process of installation we undertake the purchase of fertilized embryos, starting with 2
thousands, as well as food and medicine, all this is supervised by the expert aquaculture, to maintain
optimal conditions and avoid the loss of product as much as possible; Initiating the process of cultivation
of rainbow trout.
Embryo cultivation work is established every month for the sustainability of marketing and sustainability
of the farm.
EMBRYONIC JUVENILE RESERVOIR
REPRODUCTION
GROWTH
FATTENING
Cultivation process
Alevinaje:
This process goes from 2 cm to 7 - 9 cm of fish length, using rectangular cement pools. The biomass to
be maintained is 7-8 kg / m3 maximum, depending on the size of the fingerlings. At this stage, between
5 and 30 l / min of water are required for 2,000 fingerlings, which depends on the size of the fish, the
seed density used and the temperature. The food should contain 50% protein and be supplied in a daily
proportion of 6% of the biomass at the beginning and 4% at the end, distributed in 12 meals per day.
Fish should be selected by size in order to avoid cannibalism and high percentages of heads and tails.
Handling of fry must be done before feeding and without strong solar radiation.
Restart of embryo incubation at the beginning of the 2nd month of culture, 2 thousand
Levant:
Begins with alevine of 12 g and ends at 3-4 months of culture with 100 g fish. For this phase ponds are
used in rectangular concrete of 12-24 m long for 1-2 m wide and 0.8 to 1 m of column of water in the
open air.
When the fry reach 8-10 cm in length they are moved to outdoor fattening facilities. These may consist
of concrete channels. Individual channels and watertight. Channels provide well-oxygenated water and
water quality can be improved by increasing flow rates; However, fish are vulnerable to external water
quality and ambient water temperatures significantly influence growth rates.
Restart of incubation of embryos at the 3rd month of cultivation, 2 thousands
Restart of incubation of embryos at the 4th month of cultivation, 2 thousands
Restart of incubation of embryos at the 5th month of cultivation, 2 thousands
Restart of incubation of embryos at the 6th month of cultivation, 2 thousands
Restart of incubation of embryos at the 7th month of cultivation, 2 thousands
Growth Fattening:
It begins when the fingerlings are 7-9 cm long and ends when they reach commercial size, in a time
between 7 and 12 months depending on the quality of the seed, water temperature, planting density
and feeding.
This stage in rectangular ponds has the advantage that they occupy less space, it is necessary to clean
them adequately and periodically to eliminate the sediments and remains of food; Concrete tanks are
more expensive than land tanks, but they offer greater advantages, such as a long service life, low
maintenance costs, resistance to large water flows, better sanitary conditions, easier handling and
greater load capacity.
Restart embryo incubation at the 8th month of culture, 2 thousands
Restart embryo incubation at the 9th month of culture, 2 thousands
Restart embryo incubation at the 10th month of culture, 2 thousands
Restart embryo incubation at the 11th month of culture, 2 thousands
Restart embryo incubation at the 12th month of culture, 2 thousands
In the growth of fattening in trout, it is essential to take the physical-chemical parameters of the water
in the ponds, mainly dissolved oxygen, temperature and pH, so that it is kept in the proper ranges to
guarantee the good condition of the fish And an optimum development of the crop.
Since trout are very demanding in water quality, it must be filtered in order to avoid any kind of material
that may affect the crop.
The amount of water required depends on the expected production, and it is estimated that in fattening
it is required between 14 and 16 lt / sec per ton; The replacement of water in the tanks should be at
least enough so that in each one the water is completely renewed every hour. Adequate handling,
cleaning, feeding and sorting systems will contribute to better results.
The temperature at which the crop is carried out directly influences the growth of the trout, with very
noticeable differences in the presence of small changes in this parameter. The species can withstand
wide ranges of temperature variation (0-27 ° C)
Harvest
Rainbow trout is known for its rapid growth, reaching 4.5 kg in fresh water in 3 years. Our commitment,
to the year of treatment of cultivation by the conditions of quality of water, temperature, oxygenation
and feeding approximately of 1kgr to 1,200kgrs in a time of crop of 1 year. In total of the 12 months of 2
thousands of embryos as a total of one year are 24 thousands of product as subtraction are 480
reproducers.
By the rhythm of production, food, water; The first crop is established at 12 months with a weight of
1kg.
Reproduction
Females are able to produce up to 2,000 eggs / kg body weight. The eggs are of relatively large
diameters (3-7 mm). Most fish spawn only once, in spring
(January-May), although selective breeding and photoperiod adjustment have produced breeding
strains that can mature earlier and spawn all year.
In our work plan, the acquisition of purchased fertilized embryos is done every month in order to
maintain a breeding season for the second year, allowing a productive reproduction cycle and
guaranteeing the sustainability of the project; Allowing the time to generate the own embryos of the
farm. Gradually a percentage of 2% or 40 units for each crop is separated for breeding purposes.
Fourth Stage
Marketing is the next and crucial stage for the operation of sustainability in this project, taking into
account the internal market analysis that has been carried out, is the feasibility, for various reasons; First
that the consumption of fish in the population is high and the broad demand, even when the cost factor
is not accessible, to the basic bag of the Peruvian, is a very appreciated product, for the various
traditional dishes of Peru.
To discount 2 soles by the norm of sale, this allows us to approach a market in which it is possible to be
competitive and appreciated on the quality of the product; Of course it is contemplated in the
administrative analysis this decrease of costs, under the other expenditures and investments that
requests the cultivation of trout.
Another reason is the location of the farm, it is close to the road that connects several large towns and
with good access to distribute the product; The road that crosses Pamparomás is one of the main
connections in the Province of Huaylas, Carretera Moro-Caraz, which cross a series of villages from the
beach to the Cordillera Blanca, connecting the fishing town of Chimbote, Pan American highway; And on
the other hand the city of Caraz approach to the Capital of the Huaylas Province.
Next reason, the neighboring towns are large tourist areas so there are many potential customers who
demand the product as need, from hotels, restaurants, markets, fishmongers, etc. A wide participation
of foreign and national visitors, cross these areas, making a smooth and constant commerce.
Establish potential customers in nearby cities by means of direct and constant sales, guaranteeing a
quality product and accessible in cost.
Website and use of social networks to publicize the product, with information on cultivation, quality and
sanitation standard, specific section for requesting / buying and promoting tourism to the farm visit.
Fifth Stage
Being a project for social development, our interest is precisely to contribute to the sustainability of
small businesses that contribute and satisfy the interests of the community, in the indicators of
employment, nutrition and quality of life; So the next stage is the reinvestment to the creation of new
rainbow trout farm, continuing with the same model of work and technical projects, establishing a
systemic chain of production, granting for the next group of people to grow trout Rainbows
Duration
This project is based on the construction of infrastructure to the commercialization of sustainable
product. Estimating the time of 2 years 3 months, fulfilling harvest sustainability and commercialization.
Time of return of investment with 16.5% interest (BM) 6 years.
PRODUCTIVE CHAINS
The function of the productive cycle is the beginning of fertilized embryos culture every month, having
the production capacity of the rainbow trout, obtaining the space and characteristics necessary for its
adequate growth, looking for results of a product with quality.
The first crop is established in 12 months, after the construction of infrastructure, to give a good weight
of product that allows to mark gains on cultivation; Consecutively will be acquired monthly for its
commercialization and / or consumption.
The purpose of this system is to obtain each month greater percentage and weight of product to
increase satisfaction and quality to customers; Being the expectation a 20% of greater quantity in
production with a weight between 1 k. To 1,200kgs.

DISTRIBUTION CHANNELS AND MARKETING
Sales are considered to grow at a pace, based on the growth of the Peruvian economy through GDP. To
determine the selling price, factors such as the structure of costs and expenses of the project have been
analyzed. Competition prices have also had a significant influence on this determination. Considering
these factors, the sale price of 8.00 and 11.00 S. per kilogram was established, which is constant
throughout the life of the project
In this case we are detailing two applications
1.- Direct producer channel to merchant or manufacturer that allows the accessibility of sale
2.- Producer-to-consumer direct channel for greater economic access.
Terms of sale
The acquisition of materials and inputs (alivine, food, among others) grows in the same proportion as
sales do, by 20%. 1.2 kg of feed is required to produce 1 kg of biomass. The price of the kg of food is of 8
Soles average since the price varies according to the stage of growth and the costs of the market.
The product is raised and selected for its greater weight and measure, quality meeting the health
standards, to go through the following process that is cleaned and desvicerado; To incorporate it in
boxes with ice to maintain its freshness, when it arrives at the destination.

Distribution
In the Province of Huaylas, Ancash Peru is the area where 50% of the harvested product is sold to
distributors, restaurants, fishmongers, hotels and direct consumers in the towns and cities near the
district, such as the population Of Moro, main commercial zone of the zone by its means of
communication and industry; The City of Caraz and Chimbote Fishing Port with main consumption of
canned fish, fish meal, bonito fish, sardine and anchovy; A wide door of opportunity for rainbow trout.
The 40% of the commercialization is carried out directly in the district of Pamparomás, to the different
“caserios” or populations contributing to the nutrition of the population.

Products and / or services on the market
In the area that seeks to implement the aquaculture project there are few aquaculture producers, these
establishments are focused on the foreign market. The products or services that currently satisfy the
sale of fish and seafood are the fishing port of Chimbote but dedicated to marine species, national
production in tons, with the most consumed fish are: pretty with 28,129, Pejerrey 5,576, mackerel
10,499, coco 60, calico 81 and cabrilla 445.
In the case of tilapia and rainbow trout the sale is scarce, on the one hand the access to the public is
very specific to certain national clients, as already mentioned the majority of product is to foreign
market or capital city Lima or tourist as Cuzco; And on the other hand the cost of product is high,
limiting the national
Two cities are ample points commercial points, Chimbote and Caraz
In the case of the fishing terminal of Chimbote in Ancash, up to 40% increased the price of fish and
seafood. In Caraz the sale is much more informal and the consumption is of lower access ah product,
nevertheless traditional dishes as main ingredient is the fish and they are high in its consumption and
demand; Is the majority of preserved fish or fresh in predominance of anchovetas and sardines for its
low cost.
Finally the competition in the sale of this product is with few farms of trout, in the department of
Ancash, focused its commercialization mainly to the foreign market. Two farms closer to 42,700 mts.
Approx in the district of Shilla and two other farms at 18,900 mts aprox. In the city of Caraz.

Existence and Location of Competitors
Competitors in the district of Pamparomás do not exist; Nevertheless in the Province of Huaylas
aquaculture establishments of the rainbow trout are two located in Caraz, which are companies that
compete in the foreign market, basing more its product in chains of industrialization. Most trout farms
are large competing for wide range. This project is dedicated to the internal market and supplier of the
cities and communities near and adjacent to the district of Pamparomás; Which require this product
with wide acceptance.
Rainbow trout production
Despite the wealth of the Peruvian sea, 25% of the fish consumed in the country is imported, this is
because the fishing industry for human consumption lacks its own fleet to source, as stated by Alfonso
Miranda, President of the Fisheries and Aquaculture Committee of the National Society of Industries
(SNI).
Horse mackerel, mackerel, bonito and pota are the marine species of greatest consumption and
preference for Peruvians according to reports Gustavo Ferreyros, commercial manager of the TASA
fishery
Of the 600 thousand tons of fish consumed by Peruvians each year on average, 450 thousand tons
correspond to their presentation in fresh
SeafoodSource reported on July 7 that Peruvian company Andean Trut S.A.C. Became the first in the
world to offer the four-star category for best aquaculture practice in a program of the Global
Aquaculture Alliance
Products offered by competitors
Similar products come from the sea fishing area of Chimbote Province of Santa, its closest population, its
products are fish, bonito, khakis, mackerel, mackerel, coconut, calico, cabrilla, sardine and anchovy.
These products are consumed by nearby cities such as Caraz, one of the roads used to approximate this
product, is the main carriage that crosses the district of Pamparomás, Moro-Caraz.
Rainbow trout can be sold in both the domestic and international markets, 50% of the production is
exported; Of the 50% that is sold in the national market, sales through supermarkets represents 70%
and to wholesalers 30%, as we mentioned before is of little purchase for the high price.

COMMUNITY NEEDS SATISFACTION
Employment and self-employment is one of the high indicators that need to be addressed in the
community of Pamparomás, it is a high need to improve the economic status, due to its extreme
poverty, classified by Instituto de Estadisticas Nacional de Perú.
The economic impact arises when the labor activity makes its way through the active economy. The
competitiveness of an aquaculture farm in the inputs becomes the income of many other social actors,
who in turn spend on inputs for the products and services they produce, and so on.
This production diminishes the migration of farmers as they manage to maintain a work feasible to
support the family.
SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT
Water Reuse Coming of Ponds
The water that comes from the ponds, contains feces, food and with little oxygen, can be reused, by
means of the ideal process that is a sedimentation pond, explaining it is a small pond where water
enters and is losing speed, when encountering different obstacles. This causes the remains of fecal
matter and food to be deposited in the deep part, of this pond, then it leaves and is sent by an open
channel (preferably of cement) that has in the bottom stones, so that the water is hit, in addition that
the entrance of the water to the ponds must be propitiated to a height or fall Of 80 centimeters, to
increase its oxygenation; Being a process of filtration of water to cultivate.
SOCIAL STRENGTHENING LINKED TO THE VULNERABLE POPULATION (CHILDREN, SENIOR ADULT, AND
YOUNG PEOPLE)
Support for nutrition and fight against anemia, are the main factors, which at present the district of
Pamparomás, mark threatening figures, establishing up to 90%, especially in children and adolescents;
The annex program proposes an internal consumption in the district's inhabitants, at prices below cost
than the regular market, being accessible as any other food purchase.
100 grams of trout contribute 3 grams of fat and almost 90 calories, so that we are faced with a low-fat
food; In vitamins, provides vitamin A, B2, B2 and B3. It also contains minerals such as iron, magnesium,
potassium, phosphorus and zinc. Trout are a fish especially rich in omega 3 fatty acids, which help
prevent cardiovascular disease by reducing hypertension and LDL cholesterol and increasing HDL
cholesterol.
SUSTAINABILITY
This item is based on the cyclical plan of production and reproduction, respecting timelines and
harvesting quality, allowing the opening to advertising, marketing, social networks, point of sale
marketing, where the value of the product below domestic market, intensifies the purchase of the
product is projected a demand and product increase of 20% to the current consumption of fish in the
district, since its value, is similar to chicken and lamb, which is one of the basic diets of the communities
in which the sale and customers are heading.
The systematic process of production and care establishes a constant that persists in quality and
sanitation, guaranteeing an adequate weight of the trout to maintain a value that is profitable to the
support of the farm and salary of the worker.
The increase in harvests due to the increase of aquaculture farms within the district of Pamparomás
itself, proves the achievement of stable and potential clients.
EFFECTIVENESS
Peru is currently committed to aquaculture, investing in the promotion of infrastructure development,
training, innovation and technology, with the input of social actors dedicated to aquaculture; The
mountain range within the communities, contributes to the needs of climate change and food, is one of
the main sources of protein in the country and contribution with great nutritional value, attacking the
problem of malnutrition and anemia lived in large Part of the Country, especially in rural communities.
This project is well designed to meet these goals and contributes to these problems, always seeking to
protect and safeguard natural resources for their proper use and use.
Taking care of and respecting the health of the product, through a quality food, maintaining the
cleanliness and standards required by rainbow trout, to approach each day the value of a healthy
organic product.
It is to maintain the discipline, commitment and control of programs and trainings of technical experts,
to adjust to programs of constant professional supervision.
Elaborate a constant marketing and programmed by the coordination and logistics that is required.

  • 1. CROP, PRODUCTION AND MARKETING OF ARCOIRIS TROUT FOR THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF PAMPAROMÁS, PROVINCE OF HUAYLAS, PERU Capital Pamparomás
  • 2. INTRODUCTION As part of the strategies of this non-profit society to promote well-being in the community, it seeks to implement in the community of Pamparomás, district of the province of Huaylas, department of Ancash, Peru; The purpose of this project is to provide the systematic chain of applicable functions, averages and work processes that are organized, planned and managed in this rainbow trout aquaculture project; In their cultivation and commercialization, for the socioeconomic development, of the population that is in extreme poberty, the knowledge of techniques and the appropriate infrastructure for the use of their natural resources, this project has the purpose of that they are trained to make their people self- sustaining. As a social development project, it is a team work with professional experts who are specified in their responsibilities in designing a technical project; On the other side work with the operating group dedicated to the cultivation of rainbow trout; With another group dedicated to the organization and coordination of the last project dedicated to marketing, advertising and marketing. In addition to contributing to the use and care of the water resource, it is agreed to build a sedimentation tank that allows the purification of water for the use of an agricultural crop, since 90% of the population is dedicated to this activity, being the Base of their food as own consumption However due to the socioeconomic situation, the nutritional food base is low, which is why indicators of anemia and malnutrition are alarming in the area, mainly in children and adolescents. This project incorporates a sale of the trout to the population well below the cost of marketing with the purpose that is interested and is accessible the consumption of this nutritious product. The functionality of the project is the beginning of a group of 4 people to install the infrastructure of the crop and to train, to carry out the activities from start to harvest, some part of the profits reinvest them to create another infrastructure to another group and so consecutively in such a way Involves a large part of the population to activate their economy and nutrition, these groups are established in key points, to create a support network that achieves the approximation to several villages and systemic sustainability between production and marketing to the internal market of the surrounding cities .
  • 3. BACKGROUND Aquaculture has become an important development activity for Peru with a growth rate of 20% per year. The president of the National Fisheries Society, Elena Conterno, assured that the aquaculture activity could contribute to the Peruvian GDP growing at higher rates. In Peru we have a coast of 3,000 kilometers, 12,000 lagoons and diverse rivers, that means an opportunity to develop aquaculture. But it is important to be able to cope with the additional costs faced by this activity, As the logistics, security and relationship costs with the communities, which have high expectations". The development of "trout" in the Ancash region aims to achieve commercial dynamism, in our case, the community of Pamparomás requires an impulse to integrate in this development and promotion of the fish consumption initiative and to reactivate its Economy, promoting employment and improving the food conditions of the population. Trout is the species that in recent years has had a remarkable increase in its cultivation. Puno, Junín, Cajamarca, Huaraz and Lima are the areas where their upbringing is most developed. In the province of Canta, in the Lima region, there has been an increase in the cultivation of this species in the Chillón river basin, which descends from the Cordillera de la Viuda and forms the Chuchun lagoon, where trout are currently cultivated in cages. Likewise, the waters of this river are taken advantage of by the communities of Huaros and Cullhuay, where small farms of trout have been installed with great success. In Obrajillo, which belongs to the province of Canta, at 2,600 meters above sea level, there are also trout crops, but there is a lack of water and a good production management. Aquaculture in the department of Ancash is preponderantly developed in the marine environment and dedicated to the cultivation of "trout" in the sierra is in rapid growth, although at the level of the coast, aquaculture is incipient with the cultivation of tilapia. Few communities in this department are dedicated to the cultivation of trout and its economy has improved considerably by the commercialization abroad.
  • 4. The domestic market is earmarked for a limited part of the production, thus providing the opportunity to make more investment in this activity, and improve the food of Peruvians Aquaculture is a possibility that had already been implemented in the district but due to the lack of training, guidance and supervision; Leads to the completion of this innovative project. However the season that was maintained with advice and organization was a successful project that not only met the marketing, but the food of residents and tourist attraction. Pamparomás
  • 5. The success of trout farming depends on several factors such as water quantity and quality, seed density, uniformity in size, management and feeding (DINARA, 2010). The quantity and quality of the water are the most important factors to be taken into account for the cultivation of the trout, requiring an oxygen level above 7.0 ppm at the entrance of the tanks and not less than 5.0 ppm in the discharge, the pH must Between 7 and 8.5 and the optimum temperature for fattening is 15 ° C (Corral, et al 2000). For their cultivation, ground ponds (preferably geo-coated), in stone or in concrete and cages can be used. It is advisable to have ponds of two sizes: small for the stage of nursery and bigger for fattening. Geographic location
  • 6. Hidric Resource It has a length of approximately 150 km. The lagoons and / or dams are geomorphologically located in the transition from the valleys and canyon stages, in the northern mountain range of the country. The source of water supply is through the gullies And the existing natural outcrops (springs), in the upper part of the lagoons, being captured its waters through bocatomas and Dams to regulate the proper use of the water resource. Another of the natural sources of water resource repression are the avenue times, when water comes out of the repressed lagoons, they form in their path streams and streams, which in turn are natural tributaries of the river Pamparomás. The area of study is comprised in the headwaters of the Nepeña river basin; Locally involves the basins of Negra Huacanán, Carhuacocha, Ricococha, Yanacocha, Huayta -cocha, etc., that feed the rivers Uchpacancha, Chaclancayo, Chunga, Pisha, among other creeks.
  • 7. Climatology The project area has a rainy and dry climate, the rainy season occurs between December and March and the dry season the rest of the year, its temperatures vary between 10 ° C and 15 ° C in the day and 0 ° C and -10 ° C in the evenings, its annual average temperatures of 10 ° C. It has rainy summers and dry winters with heavy frost. Economic Sector: The data that shows us the National Institute of Statistics is that 90% of the population, is to establish to which sector of the economy belongs the economic activity that will develop in Commerce, Service and / or Tourism. In Peru on domestic consumption, total growth recorded 96.46%, where in 2011 the domestic market consumed 20 265 tonnes, amounting to 39,813 tonnes during 2015. "For the domestic market, production doubled, the supply of protein increased, And recorded the greatest generation of work and saving foreign currency for the country, "said the deputy minister. The species that stood out in their internal commercialization during the year 2015 were trout (90.04%), tilapia (4.9%), shrimp (2.16%) and the fan shell (1.30%). In addition, the latest INEI report on average fish consumption per person is 15.4 kg.

  • 9. Rainbow Trout Product Features The rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) belonging to the family Salmonidae, is a fish originating from tributary rivers of the Sacramento River in California, North America, for repopulation and exploitation of rivers of cold waters, in zones of temperatures between 10 and 18 ° C, In the country the number of farms dedicated to the truchicultura has increased, due to the great demand existing for the delicacy of its meat (Betancur, et al 2010). Because it presents excellent characteristics for its production in captivity, it has been widely distributed in the cold water bodies of many countries of the world. The body of the rainbow trout is characterized by having fusiform form and presenting iridescent bands in the flanks, from which it takes its name. The dorsum is dark and has a light belly, has black spots and is covered by fine scales and its coloration varies according to age and sex (Quintero, et al. 2011, lives in low temperature waters, requiring 9-12 ° C for the production of fingerlings and 12-18 ° C for fattening. In Colombia the species is adapted very well and its cultivation is done in areas that are above 2,000 m
  • 10. Trout are native fish of high and mountainous regions where there are cold and clear waters, with channels that show marked topographical differences that originate rapids, jumps and waterfalls. These are rapids, with a pronounced speed of stream and stony soil, very common in high mountain rivers, most frequented by trout. The rainbow trout is characterized by relying on water with high oxygen concentrations, above 6 mg / L, turbulent or with a certain movement of water and temperatures between 11 to 18 ° C (Ortega 2003). In general, the Sierra Norte is a region suitable for the cultivation of this fish, since it has crystalline and well oxygenated waters.
  • 11. Food The food provided to the trout must be of high nutritional quality, so that they meet the requirements of the fish and they can enjoy good health. The food supplied should be adequate in relation to the size of the fish. In the market there are several brands of palletized foods, with a wide variety of sizes of the granules, which allow adequate food for each size of the fish. The company must have a procedure and record of daily feeding. The food should be stored on a shelf or pallet in a ventilated place, isolated from humidity, high temperatures and solar radiation as the heat heats the food causing rancidity and denaturation of its components. It is necessary that the responsible of the farm is very aware of the behavior of the fish, because if there is an overload of individuals in the ponds, the trout will begin to compete for the food. It is an intensive food industry, which accounts for 40% of the cost of production Cost US $ O.70 per kg. Diseases They are often silent and lost on the farm, and regularly go unnoticed, which is why the considerable presence of supervision by the expert; Are usually caused by microorganisms, such as: bacteria, viruses, protozoa, fungi and worms
  • 12. JUSTIFICATION This proposal is supported by the fact that the Ancash region: a) has more than 260 high Andean lagoons, which have not yet been studied, but if at least 20% of these could have qualities for the development of fish farming using cages, Would be exceptional, (b) in this region important volumes of fishmeal and fish oil are produced, irreplaceable inputs for the preparation of balanced feed, intensive and super intensive fish culture. This advantage means a significant reduction in operating costs and therefore greater economic profitability, c) the region has for many years had the Estación Albicara de Huaylas, designed to produce "trout" seeds, which will have to be Empowered to meet and guarantee future demands. Pamparomás The district of Pamparomás located in the Department of Ancash has lagoons distributed in the black mountain range that have become natural dams by the rains, the inhabitants have been able to obtain use of these, however by leaks and lack of storage, recovery Of this water resource has been made possible only to 20%, so the construction of storage is a vital technical strategy for the sustainability of the crops. In the district, in which 9,153 inhabitants live, distributed in a capital and rural populations called hamlets, classified by the state, as poverty and extreme poverty, with indicators of 97% of anemia and malnutrition, The main labor activity of the population is Agriculture, however the technology that has been implemented has been intermittent, by the production technique; Being necessary the training and chains of commercialization that sustain an active cycle for the demands that the market requires. It is in the interest of the people of Pamparomás to get involved in reactivating their economy. In our population there are indicators that show the opportunity to develop action plans to build employment promotion within the community, since the employment rate is derived from 92% in agriculture, with an economic activity of 50.2% and non-working With 25%, workers without primary to 64%, the interpretation of these data is multifactorial, to understand the following indicators since in the total population 73% of poverty, in extreme situation 43% and not extreme of the 26.8%, data represented by National Institute of Statistics.
  • 13. Therefore, the needs of economic-labor revival, training in water and agricultural technologies, production and marketing chains, push the labor force; In which people with productive ages sustain activities that are affordable to a living with sustenance, because it is one of the factors by which the field worker migrates from this community; That is why it is necessary to implement social projects that cover a whole labor process that is strengthened by a series of technical projects and training, so that the residents feel constantly supported and maintain the labor sustainability. In addition, low food quality, in the district of Pamparomás, maintains the majority of the people with diseases acquired by the low nutritional level in the daily diet of the Pamparomino, lower level of learning in children, this project considers the support to the item of feeding; Since the trout is one of the proteins with greater amount of nutrients; It is effective to promote and access this food and make it feasible no matter the economic state or remoteness of the coast where fish manages to be part of people's diet.
  • 14. PURPOSE Social project designed in the development of farms in aquaculture of rainbow trout in the District of Pamparomás, Province of Huaylas, Department of Ancash, Peru; For the generation of employment, adequate use of water resources and food and nutrition, which includes from the technical construction of ponds and embryonic, the whole phase of culture and feeding of fish, from the culture of young, to fattening Commercial size and harvest. The transport and commercialization of aquaculture products, as well as environmental care in the use of sedimentary ponds for filtration and cleaning of water, for the use of the water resource to the use of agricultural irrigation. Three bases of action for the satisfaction of the needs of the population consolidating the interests that the climate change, economic and modernization that the communities of the Mountain range of Peru cross. Employment The work situation is the activity that allows a society to be balanced, responsible and healthy, for young people and family heads to have an economic asset guarantees the confidence and security in the quality of life. Environment To act with conscience on the water resources that the climate change has destabilized, to guarantee the uses that the population requires; In the case of aquaculture, technical measures are established in which the use of water is sustainable and purified for irrigation of agricultural crops. Food and Nutrition To establish a support for the consumption of trout by means of the accessibility to this product, in its cost and approach of sale to the communities that it is difficult to obtain this food rich in nutrients, by its high concentration in vitamins and minerals; Contributing to minimize malnutrition and anemia, which is a major concern in the population.
  • 15. COMPONENTS Infrastructure Reservoir The reservoir is rectangular in shape, built directly buried, below the surface of the ground; Its location is determined mainly by the necessity and convenience of maintaining the pressure in the service network, guaranteeing maximum pressures in the ponds; Located as close as possible and to a greater elevation to the ponds. Sedimentation tank A tank in which water containing sedimentable solids with a filling and cleaning system is retained for a sufficient time; Where the flow rate is low enough to remove by gravity some of the suspended matter; As a recirculation system for reusable water filtration. Installations for cultivation The choice is a semi-natural pond, to form an artificial habitat capable of satisfying the biological requirements of the animal in its natural environment, of the nutritional needs and of sanitary protection of the fish in cultivation, in order to obtain favorable results in the levels Expected output; Often has dimensions of 30 mt. Long by 10 mt. Wide. One is built side by side in parallel, each one of them supplying and draining The drain is in the center of the tank and is protected by a mesh curtain. This position ensures that the water forms a vortex toward the center that accumulates debris for easy removal. The drainage pit or pipe is connected to a bent pipe on the side of the tank, which can be used to regulate the water level. Training Instruct knowledge of aquaculture activity, fattening fish in captivity, methods and species; Added value to fish meat for its quality and health. Attention to its importance, not only as a way for a sustainable family economy, but as an activity of future, respectful with the environment and that allows to conserve the natural resources; Elaboration of work plan and feeding system, oxygenation, water quality measurement, product divisions, and work shift training to establish a constant care of the product.
  • 16. The cultivation process is a complete care and the aquaculture has to be absolutely given to work, since at the time of raising and separating fish by size is not adequate, it is usually that the trout begins to maintain struggles for space, which can Bodily injury, development of fungi, etc. As a consequence a delay in the growth of the product. OBJECTIVE Create, implement and develop rainbow trout crop for breeding, production and marketing in the communities of Pamparomás, Province of Huaylas, Department of Ancash, for the sustainable development of employment and nutritional population. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES  Design and construction of a reservoir to store a water resource that guarantees the sustainability of water for cultivation on the rainbow trout farm.  Design and build a sedimentation pond to contribute to the recycling of water for agricultural cultivation.  Design and build infrastructure for production of rainbow trout with 2000 fry in cycle.  Implement the Rainbow Trout Farm in the Pamparomás District, Huaylas Province, Ancash Department.  Implement a rainbow trout production chain for sustainability.  Establish the commercialization of production in the Department of Ancash.  Designate a portion of the production for consumption by the population in order to combat malnutrition. MISSION Establish and implement a productive chain of aquiculture in the district of Pamparomás, which allows self-sustainability and sustainability to the community, being a factor to support food, employment and the environment. VISION Make aquaculture companies for breeding, production and marketing with quality products in Pamparomás district with internal and external commercial power.

GOALS Being a project for social development, our interest is precisely to contribute to the sustainability of small businesses that contribute and satisfy the interests of the community, in the indicators of employment, nutrition and quality of life. • Cyclical production and reproduction plan, respecting the timelines and quality of the harvest, which allows the opening to commercialization with value of the product below the domestic market, increasing harvests by the increase of farms within the Pamparomás District. • Activities in which cost-production is reduced for the administration of economies of scale, regulating and balancing the supply of raw materials and inputs, in order to promote the standards of living and work of the members of the Product System. • The integration and commitment of the social actors involved in the project process to improve the nutritional quality of the population and the competitiveness of the activity. • Promote and generate groups that are participatory in the responsibility of rearing rainbow trout as an innovation in employment. • Regularize and establish plans in production processes with quality and efficiency, comply with the standards established to obtain a high quality product, and thereby improve the economy and income level. • Support the consumption of rainbow trout to reduce malnutrition and anemia in the population. PROJECT TYPE Established under a social project standard for community development, the interest is mainly to cover the support to communities in the area of the sierra located in the Cordillera Negra of Peru, starting with the District of Pamparomás, in the subjects that agree to the climate change and the causes that are generated of this, on the contribution in the feeding, proper use of the water resource and protection to the environment; In the joint work of social actors within this community, encouraging the work in the field; Promoting the aquaculture initiative by providing a means of employment and training to the benefits that trout farming generates in the population, such as nutrition and economic growth for a stable quality of life.
  • 18. This project is distributed in three action areas: Sustainability of Water Resources, Infrastructure Construction for Rainbow Trout, and Training in the cultivation of rainbow trout. With a participative methodology, when implementing a program of work arising from a problem, due to lack of employment and low economy, that originates within the community, it is intended that the solution is given through the cultivation, aging, production and fattening of Rainbow trout, which improves the standard of living of the people involved. In the study of this event that are done in a natural group takes advantage of training and training to encourage product quality. DIAGNOSIS Internal situation of the group The members of the non-governmental organization "Pamparomás Creciendo Juntos" are made up of natives of this community who are the first central group with 4 inhabitants of the capital of this district to initiate the planning of strategies in Pro of the community, as connoisseurs of first instance of the place. Pamparomás, because it is the commercial activity area and the beginning of Tourism, is chosen as the first place in which to carry out for the first time the implementation of the integral project for the cultivation of rainbow trout. In addition to contributing to the conservation of the water resources of this place and creating employment sources, it will be obtained food of great consumption in the region at both the family level and tourism level, thus allowing fish farming to become a productive activity of Self-employment for earning income to improve their living conditions. The interest in developing this activity in the area is due to the potential of its land, the need to establish fixed sources of work, is the populated center and access road for other districts, along the highway that crosses it. External situation The community has the basic services of light, private telephones, drinking water, 1 paved road, rural transport, health home, schools from kindergarten through high school. The access to the town is through highway that goes of Moro - Caraz understanding near Costa Chimbote to Province Huaylas; According to the property regime, the highest percentage of the area of
  • 19. Pamparomás, corresponds to ejidal lands, wetlands and rural area. Whose main use is of an agricultural type where the cultivation of temporary crops is practiced; Such as: maize, alfalfa, potatoes and perennials such as peach, avocado among others, as well as small livestock mainly for cheese processing; Pigs, chicken and pigs for their own consumption. In the community there are lagoons and rivers, these are used for irrigation of the crops that are in the mountains, in the elevated areas of the sierra. Agricultural and commercial activity are the main sources of income in the community, which allows the direct sale of some fish products to small and medium scale. Internal problems of the community One of the main problems within the community is the unemployment of a part of the population, which causes that many inhabitants of the locality emigrate to other places, looking for alternatives of work to survive along with their families. The disorganization within the community to perform tasks or tasks together and for the benefit of the community itself; Poor access to quality education, low pay for work done in the field, little training and supervision of projects that have been implemented.
  • 20. ACTION PLAN The key to a stable and sustainable work effect are, on the one hand, the adequate distribution of ponds for each biological stage will allow a periodic, rotating rearing of fry, juveniles, pre-commercial, commercial and breeding, and at the same time to enable the rational and Water quality is integrated technical project carried out by the professional expert, biologist or veterinarian, aquaculture expert. 1st stage First month dedicated to the infrastructure, through the supervision of the expert professional for optimal facilities in the construction of a water storage as a maximum use of the resource and maintain a constant fluctuation that allows the guarantee of the crop. This infrastructure is made by the workforce of a group of people, this construction period is possible in 1 month of operation.
  • 22. At the same time a second group carries out the construction of an establishment for the embryo breeding of trout, the water distribution channels and channels and the ponds, in the field planned for the crop this infrastructure is realized in the same first month. These periods of time are possible since the first construction is basic and only with the necessary elements to give gradual consistency to the project. 2nd stage The next stage begins in the second month; Is based on the installation of tools and elements necessary for the health and care of the crop, such as water pumps, filters, nets, thermometers, it is sought that the energy that is consumed of these, or by solar absorption implementing panels, since Helps us contribute to the care of the environment by renewable energy. The fundamental characteristics of the water to be determined for use in fish culture are: pH (water acidity), total hardness (quantity of carbonates), amount of dissolved oxygen and temperature (winter and summer). In addition, the presence of elements harmful to the life of the fish, such as iron, arsenic and lead, and excess of other heavy metals will be determined.
  • 23. Training to the integral and committed social actors of the culture, breeding of the trout by the expert professional directed to the responsible ones and operative of the trout farm, establishing, program, constant supervision, plan and organization of the actions in each stage of the trout, Proper handling and care. Third Stage Start of stage 3rd month. Finished this process of installation we undertake the purchase of fertilized embryos, starting with 2 thousands, as well as food and medicine, all this is supervised by the expert aquaculture, to maintain optimal conditions and avoid the loss of product as much as possible; Initiating the process of cultivation of rainbow trout. Embryo cultivation work is established every month for the sustainability of marketing and sustainability of the farm. EMBRYONIC JUVENILE RESERVOIR REPRODUCTION GROWTH FATTENING
  • 24. Cultivation process Alevinaje: This process goes from 2 cm to 7 - 9 cm of fish length, using rectangular cement pools. The biomass to be maintained is 7-8 kg / m3 maximum, depending on the size of the fingerlings. At this stage, between 5 and 30 l / min of water are required for 2,000 fingerlings, which depends on the size of the fish, the seed density used and the temperature. The food should contain 50% protein and be supplied in a daily proportion of 6% of the biomass at the beginning and 4% at the end, distributed in 12 meals per day. Fish should be selected by size in order to avoid cannibalism and high percentages of heads and tails. Handling of fry must be done before feeding and without strong solar radiation. Restart of embryo incubation at the beginning of the 2nd month of culture, 2 thousand
  • 25. Levant: Begins with alevine of 12 g and ends at 3-4 months of culture with 100 g fish. For this phase ponds are used in rectangular concrete of 12-24 m long for 1-2 m wide and 0.8 to 1 m of column of water in the open air. When the fry reach 8-10 cm in length they are moved to outdoor fattening facilities. These may consist of concrete channels. Individual channels and watertight. Channels provide well-oxygenated water and water quality can be improved by increasing flow rates; However, fish are vulnerable to external water quality and ambient water temperatures significantly influence growth rates. Restart of incubation of embryos at the 3rd month of cultivation, 2 thousands Restart of incubation of embryos at the 4th month of cultivation, 2 thousands Restart of incubation of embryos at the 5th month of cultivation, 2 thousands Restart of incubation of embryos at the 6th month of cultivation, 2 thousands Restart of incubation of embryos at the 7th month of cultivation, 2 thousands
  • 26. Growth Fattening: It begins when the fingerlings are 7-9 cm long and ends when they reach commercial size, in a time between 7 and 12 months depending on the quality of the seed, water temperature, planting density and feeding. This stage in rectangular ponds has the advantage that they occupy less space, it is necessary to clean them adequately and periodically to eliminate the sediments and remains of food; Concrete tanks are more expensive than land tanks, but they offer greater advantages, such as a long service life, low maintenance costs, resistance to large water flows, better sanitary conditions, easier handling and greater load capacity. Restart embryo incubation at the 8th month of culture, 2 thousands Restart embryo incubation at the 9th month of culture, 2 thousands Restart embryo incubation at the 10th month of culture, 2 thousands Restart embryo incubation at the 11th month of culture, 2 thousands Restart embryo incubation at the 12th month of culture, 2 thousands In the growth of fattening in trout, it is essential to take the physical-chemical parameters of the water in the ponds, mainly dissolved oxygen, temperature and pH, so that it is kept in the proper ranges to guarantee the good condition of the fish And an optimum development of the crop. Since trout are very demanding in water quality, it must be filtered in order to avoid any kind of material that may affect the crop. The amount of water required depends on the expected production, and it is estimated that in fattening it is required between 14 and 16 lt / sec per ton; The replacement of water in the tanks should be at least enough so that in each one the water is completely renewed every hour. Adequate handling, cleaning, feeding and sorting systems will contribute to better results. The temperature at which the crop is carried out directly influences the growth of the trout, with very noticeable differences in the presence of small changes in this parameter. The species can withstand wide ranges of temperature variation (0-27 ° C)
  • 27. Harvest Rainbow trout is known for its rapid growth, reaching 4.5 kg in fresh water in 3 years. Our commitment, to the year of treatment of cultivation by the conditions of quality of water, temperature, oxygenation and feeding approximately of 1kgr to 1,200kgrs in a time of crop of 1 year. In total of the 12 months of 2 thousands of embryos as a total of one year are 24 thousands of product as subtraction are 480 reproducers. By the rhythm of production, food, water; The first crop is established at 12 months with a weight of 1kg.
  • 28. Reproduction Females are able to produce up to 2,000 eggs / kg body weight. The eggs are of relatively large diameters (3-7 mm). Most fish spawn only once, in spring (January-May), although selective breeding and photoperiod adjustment have produced breeding strains that can mature earlier and spawn all year. In our work plan, the acquisition of purchased fertilized embryos is done every month in order to maintain a breeding season for the second year, allowing a productive reproduction cycle and guaranteeing the sustainability of the project; Allowing the time to generate the own embryos of the farm. Gradually a percentage of 2% or 40 units for each crop is separated for breeding purposes. Fourth Stage Marketing is the next and crucial stage for the operation of sustainability in this project, taking into account the internal market analysis that has been carried out, is the feasibility, for various reasons; First that the consumption of fish in the population is high and the broad demand, even when the cost factor is not accessible, to the basic bag of the Peruvian, is a very appreciated product, for the various traditional dishes of Peru.
  • 29. To discount 2 soles by the norm of sale, this allows us to approach a market in which it is possible to be competitive and appreciated on the quality of the product; Of course it is contemplated in the administrative analysis this decrease of costs, under the other expenditures and investments that requests the cultivation of trout. Another reason is the location of the farm, it is close to the road that connects several large towns and with good access to distribute the product; The road that crosses Pamparomás is one of the main connections in the Province of Huaylas, Carretera Moro-Caraz, which cross a series of villages from the beach to the Cordillera Blanca, connecting the fishing town of Chimbote, Pan American highway; And on the other hand the city of Caraz approach to the Capital of the Huaylas Province. Next reason, the neighboring towns are large tourist areas so there are many potential customers who demand the product as need, from hotels, restaurants, markets, fishmongers, etc. A wide participation of foreign and national visitors, cross these areas, making a smooth and constant commerce. Establish potential customers in nearby cities by means of direct and constant sales, guaranteeing a quality product and accessible in cost. Website and use of social networks to publicize the product, with information on cultivation, quality and sanitation standard, specific section for requesting / buying and promoting tourism to the farm visit. Fifth Stage Being a project for social development, our interest is precisely to contribute to the sustainability of small businesses that contribute and satisfy the interests of the community, in the indicators of employment, nutrition and quality of life; So the next stage is the reinvestment to the creation of new rainbow trout farm, continuing with the same model of work and technical projects, establishing a systemic chain of production, granting for the next group of people to grow trout Rainbows Duration This project is based on the construction of infrastructure to the commercialization of sustainable product. Estimating the time of 2 years 3 months, fulfilling harvest sustainability and commercialization. Time of return of investment with 16.5% interest (BM) 6 years.
  • 30. PRODUCTIVE CHAINS The function of the productive cycle is the beginning of fertilized embryos culture every month, having the production capacity of the rainbow trout, obtaining the space and characteristics necessary for its adequate growth, looking for results of a product with quality. The first crop is established in 12 months, after the construction of infrastructure, to give a good weight of product that allows to mark gains on cultivation; Consecutively will be acquired monthly for its commercialization and / or consumption. The purpose of this system is to obtain each month greater percentage and weight of product to increase satisfaction and quality to customers; Being the expectation a 20% of greater quantity in production with a weight between 1 k. To 1,200kgs.

DISTRIBUTION CHANNELS AND MARKETING Sales are considered to grow at a pace, based on the growth of the Peruvian economy through GDP. To determine the selling price, factors such as the structure of costs and expenses of the project have been analyzed. Competition prices have also had a significant influence on this determination. Considering these factors, the sale price of 8.00 and 11.00 S. per kilogram was established, which is constant throughout the life of the project In this case we are detailing two applications 1.- Direct producer channel to merchant or manufacturer that allows the accessibility of sale 2.- Producer-to-consumer direct channel for greater economic access.

  • 36. Despite the wealth of the Peruvian sea, 25% of the fish consumed in the country is imported, this is because the fishing industry for human consumption lacks its own fleet to source, as stated by Alfonso Miranda, President of the Fisheries and Aquaculture Committee of the National Society of Industries (SNI). Horse mackerel, mackerel, bonito and pota are the marine species of greatest consumption and preference for Peruvians according to reports Gustavo Ferreyros, commercial manager of the TASA fishery Of the 600 thousand tons of fish consumed by Peruvians each year on average, 450 thousand tons correspond to their presentation in fresh SeafoodSource reported on July 7 that Peruvian company Andean Trut S.A.C. Became the first in the world to offer the four-star category for best aquaculture practice in a program of the Global Aquaculture Alliance Products offered by competitors Similar products come from the sea fishing area of Chimbote Province of Santa, its closest population, its products are fish, bonito, khakis, mackerel, mackerel, coconut, calico, cabrilla, sardine and anchovy. These products are consumed by nearby cities such as Caraz, one of the roads used to approximate this product, is the main carriage that crosses the district of Pamparomás, Moro-Caraz. Rainbow trout can be sold in both the domestic and international markets, 50% of the production is exported; Of the 50% that is sold in the national market, sales through supermarkets represents 70% and to wholesalers 30%, as we mentioned before is of little purchase for the high price.
