BACI was established on 19 December,
1995 which is
a Govt. approved trade organization
represents the construction industry of
Bangladesh
communicates & pursues with different
government and semi-government organizations
to achieve the matter of its valued members
promote the development and wellbeing of the
construction sector

5. Rationale of the Project
The new Business Plan is essential
because
to meet an additional target of 20225 with the
extended time up to December 2025.
To support training programs up to December
2025 to develop skilled workforce in order to
contribute in the industry sector.
To ensure the achievement of fulfilling training
and job placement target given by SEIP and
To ensure strengthening quality assurance of
its training which will be offered through its

6. Mission Statement
The mission of BACI is
To produce skill force in the construction sector to mitigate the present
skill gap in the labor market.
To ensure employment of the skilled workforce in both domestic &
overseas market.
To contribute in the nation economic growth through employment
generation and exporting manpower.

7. Goals & Objectives
Sustainable and structure skill training program in
construction sector.
To increase productivity and income of the
workers.
To achieve global competitiveness by producing
skill & knowledgeable workers.

Output:
Produce around 30,000 skilled and semi-skilled
workers in construction sector.
At least 60% of total enrollees employed within
three months after training and retained minimum
three months in jobs.
8. Labor market analysis
Labor market, skill gap growth, contribution to GDP : Total demand
for construction workers will rise from 3.34 million in 2016 to 4.04
million in 2020 that will further increase to 5 million in ten years by
the end of 2025.

Most construction work are done through sub contractor and they prefer to
engage worker as per their choice
There is no significant wage gap between trained and non- trained workers in
the construction sector at the initial stage
Trades of construction sectors are not female friendly
There is no obligatory binding to engage certified workers in the construction
sector.
Employment agency demand substantial amount of money amount of money
to get overseas employment.

17. Job Placement Strategy
Preparing database of the industries
ii) Developing dynamic linkages with the

20. Resource Requirements
Management: Whole management bodies are
responsible for overall management, operations
and training.
Coordination & Administration: To be hired
responsible for service staff for operations and
training in conjunction with management.
Trainers: Required number of trainers to be
required for each trade,
Support Staff: To be hired responsible for logistic
support, scheduling of training, inventory and
training in conjunction with management.

21. Sustainability of the project
At the end of the project financing (2025),
Institution will run its activities charging fees to students. During
implementation, it will achieve reputation with regard to training quality and
management and linkage with employers that will facilitate institute to grab
opportunities for getting students. Members of the association will also send
their workforce to the institute for up-skilling at cost and this will help the
institute to run without any external support. Trainees will also receive training
from the institute before migrating to the labor recipient countries.
BACI’s training centers will arrange training cum production programs (TCPP).
The products produced out of the training programs will generate revenues.
Moreover, training institution will provide consultancy service in regard to
increase productivity to the member industry/firm of the association.
