51. • Soy-based biocontainers can be used up to 10 weeks, especially when
grown in drier conditions
• Shuttle trays can facilitate microbial growth on the outside of
containers made with more degradable materials
• Biocontainers made from more durable materials can last much
longer than 10 weeks
• Soy-based biocontainer release mineral nutrients and can reduce
fertilizer applications
• Root pruning occurred on plants grown in soy-based biocontainers
and PHA/DDGS biocontainers
