This document discusses CSISA-WorldFish's training activities and program development. It aims to increase the capacity of partner extension staff and farmers to implement improved aquaculture technologies. Training is provided to extension staff and farmers. Materials are developed to make training easy to understand and increase participation. Training manuals, guidebooks, leaflets, posters and real materials are used. A training of trainers course is provided to extension staff. Future training material development and distribution plans are outlined.
2. Objective of Training
To increase capacity of partner extension staff and
farmers in order to implement improved technology.
So CSISA-WorldFish provides training for

3. Programmatic thinking
• How can we develop a need based training program for
the farmer
• How effectively the training program implemented in
the field
• How can we ensure the farmers’ participation in the
training session
• How competently we can address /plan for
implementing the program in future
• How efficiently we address Gender issue in the training
• How can we complete the steps without additional
burden of the project staff
4. Partners’ Extension Staff Training
• 6 days long Training of Trainers (ToT) Course on Extension
and Aquaculture
• 3 days long refresher course in following year.
The curriculum of the course developed following CSISA-
WorldFish implemented Technology.
54 Trained staff of 10 partners are working in six hubs at
present.
