 A solution to reuse the used transformer oil disposed
from electrical power stations.
 Used transformer oil is proposed as an alternative fuel in
a compression ignition engine in this study.

The retarded timing of UTO shows higher values of smoke emission
due to incomplete combustion and poor atomization

Conclusion
Due to variation of injection timing
• Engine was able to run with 100% UTO when the injection timing
was advanced and retarded.
• Based on the combustion, performance and emission the optimum
injection timing is found to be at 20obTDC.

  • 19. Conclusion Due to variation of injection timing • Engine was able to run with 100% UTO when the injection timing was advanced and retarded. • Based on the combustion, performance and emission the optimum injection timing is found to be at 20obTDC. Presented in ICAER 2013, IIT Bombay, Mumbai
