1. JENNY GREGORY the singing sensation
Jenny Gregory bursts into the studio with a beaming smile and dressed in her signature style of fitted
jacket and denim shorts. Of course there’s a reason for that smile with the recent critical success of
her latest single “not my man”. The single became number 1 in over 30 countries including the US
and the UK and with the sell out tour coming soon she is set for even brighter things within the
music industry.
I ask her how it feels to suddenly be thrust into the limelight in such a dramatic fashion and she
replies with her usual modest charms “I can’t believe it; I don’t think it’s sunk in yet, I still think no
one knows who I am, when I go out it’s so strange, I don’t think I’ll get used to the idea.”
Was not my man inspired by a past relationship? She laughs at my question and begins to blush, she
then replies “it was from a long time ago, he was my best friend at the time and I thought I really
loved him but I guess I was wrong”
Any ideas on what you want to do next? She goes into thought for a minute or two before replying
“I’ve spoken to my managers and they think I should create a single with another artist who will
hopefully help me gain more experience, I would also like to complete my first album and get it into
stores as soon as possible”
Now for the personal stuff I say and she begins to laugh, are the rumours true about your secret
meeting with Olly Murs, she looks amused by my question however without hesitation she replies
“we are just really good friends, we knew each other before either of us became famous but we
never really had time to see each other. We met up a couple of times for a catch up since I released
my single which is the images you may have seen but we are just really close friends.”
Having recently signed with Sony, how different are you finding things from being an independent
artist where you recorded and promoted your own music? She answers with “it's really strange, I’m
not used to people running around for me, if there’s ever anything I needed I got it straight away,
the people at the company are so nice and easy to get on and work with and they make sure I’m
happy with what they do to the music which is the most important thing for me.”
What was your reaction when you received the phone call from Ellie Golding’s agent asking you to
accompany her on tour? She smiles and replies “I was so shocked I thought it was someone ringing
to wind me up and I didn’t believe them until they went into full detail with what’s going to happen
and when they’re going to pick up, I never actually believed it until the limo pulled up in front of my
house and Ellie Golding herself was sat waiting for me”
How long after the tour did you get the phone call from the legend that is Sir Tom Jones, she begins
“it was about 1 week after my performance, he rang while I was uploading my latest video onto
YouTube and straight away asked if he could meet with me to discuss a record deal I was so stunned
my mum has to take over the phone call to get all the information and details of where we will meet
him.”
Are you currently in a relationship pr looking? “No, I’m single and hoping to stay that way for a
while as I want full concentration on my music before I begin to get into a fully committed

2. relationship because I don’t think it’s fair if I’m never going to be there to see him when I’m always
going to be on tour or in the studio.”
So if there’s no relationship for you then all your attention is on music is there any people you would
really like to and think you would enjoy working with? “I would love to work with Beyonce, she is
amazing she is just so talented and successful and I would love it if I could release a single with her
because she is my idol, I’ve always been a big fan and I love how down to earth she keeps her private
life separate from the media which is why I believe she’s so amazing.”
We end the interview with a joke or two about her hectic day ahead but as her popularity has no
signs of waning it doesn’t look like she will be getting much rest anytime soon.
