Progress Report of SRSP Human Institutional Development Programme
1. Human Resource Development Center in the Second Quarter of 2013 (April – June
2013) designed, planned and conducted different capacity building events for staff and
communities. A number of staff orientations & trainings, Community trainings both
social / managerial and Employable Skills trainings alongside some commercial training
were organized at HRDC and at the field level. These trainings were mainly of PEACE
Programme, LSP-AusAID, FLADP-CIDA, UNDP-SRLM, MDP-FSSP, GIZ Raha, Adam
Smith International, Coffey International and FOSI. Inputs in designing and
implementation of ToT’s for Staff and CRPs at Swat under PEACE Programme were also
incorporated by HRDC.
Staff Trainings
Training on Advance Microsoft Excel & Word was arranged for staff of Head Office and
Regional staff Under PEACE Programme. Twenty staff members participated in the said
training.
Five days training on Social Mobilization was arranged for the newly hired staff under
UNICEF in collaboration with RSPN. Total fifty two staff members participated.

2. A three days refresher training of SRLM-UNDP staff from Malakand division was held at
HRDC, in which thirty participants participated.
Training refresher course on civil
documentation, family and contract laws was
arranged for FOSI staff from Swat, Chitral
and Nowshera.
Orientation on Adam Smith International
Education project was held at HRDC, wherein
twenty one participants from seven districts
participated.
A one day Programme planning meeting was held
at HRDC on future collaboration of SRSP with
new government setup. All Programme Managers, Managers, Team Leaders, Regional
Manager and District Programme Managers participated in the said meeting. Meeting was
chaired by CEO, SRSP.
Community / Commercial Trainings
Training on Alternate Dispute Resolution for community activists of Buner was held at
HRDC under Coffey International.
The main objective of this training
was to develop an understanding of
Mediation within KP context and to
educate community based mediators
on mediation for further promotion
of community based mediators in
strengthening the formal and
informal justice sector.
Participatory Health and Sanitation
Transformation (PHAST) trainings
were conducted for the men and
women members of project oversight
committees (POC) at lower & Upper

3. Dir under Malakand Development Programme. Total of Nine Hundred POC members were
trained.
Under Livelihood Strengthening Programme, Leadership Management Skill Trainings were
arranged at HRDC and field level. Seventy Eight activists (men) were trained at HRDC
while Twenty seven women activists were trained at local level.
Designed and assisted HRD staff of PEACE in implementation of Training of Trainers
(ToT) for staff and Community Resource Persons.
Trainings of Paralegals and Musalihati Jirga were organized at Malakand Division under
UNDP-SRLM. Total of 650 Paralegals and 300 Musalihati Jirga members were trained.
Employable Skill Trainings
Designed and implemented Employable skills training for the youth of District Peshawar,
Charsadda and Nowshera. This includes the trades of UPS/Stabilizer Repair, Sanitary
Fitting, Building Electrician, Cell Phone Repair, Silma Sitara and Adda Work. Total
Seventy Five men and One Hundred women
were trained. At the end certificates and
toolkits were distributed among
participants to provide them an
opportunity to establish their enterprise
or get an apprenticeship.
Employable skill trainings were also
designed and conducted for the youth
(men & women) of Kurram Agency under
Fata local Area Development Programme CIDA. Total of Ninety men and Thirty women
were trained in Refrigerator Repairing, Cell Phone Repair, Building Electrician,
Embroidery and Stitching.
