The process of developing agricultural
machines and substituting this machine
power for human and animal power in
agricultural production practices is farm
mechanization.

machines for conducting agricultural operations,
replacing the traditional methods which involve
human and animal labour.
Farm mechanization implies the use of mechanical
technology in the varied farming operations like
sowing, harvesting, threshing, levelling, watering,
spraying, weeding etc.
