10. Food Chain is a hierarchical series of organisms
each dependent on the next as a source of food.
11. Trophic levels are the feeding position in a food
chain such as primary producers, herbivore,
primary carnivore, etc. Green plants form the first
trophic level, the producers.
12. An ecological pyramid is a graphical representation
designed to show the biomass or biomass
productivity at each trophic level in a given
ecosystem.
13. The carbon cycle is based on carbon dioxide (CO2),
which can be found in air in the gaseous form, and
in water in dissolved form.
