I earned my B.A. in Cultural Anthropology at UCSC, completing my degree in Indonesia, it was life-changing. My first job was teaching high school English. I earned an MA in Communication from SDSU in 2005 and I’ve been teaching in higher ed ever since. I have been a full-time professor at San Diego Miramar College since 2014. At the end of 2019, I earned a second MA in Environmental Studies and Sustainability through SDSU’s MALAS program. I’m currently developing a robust sustainability program at Miramar with an international component. While I love teaching, I am most excited about mentoring people and sharing my passion for social and environmental concerns.
