1. The Rocky Mountains
Hi! My name is William Uzelac. My paper is
about the Rocky Mountains. I would like to also
talk a little bit about the history, and animals
that live in the Rocky Mountains. One really
important part of this paper is the problems
that now exists in the Rocky Mountains. The
park was established January 26, 1915.The
reason the park was made was because they
thought that a ton of people would come to the
park and try to climb the mountains and build
houses. The person that founded the Rocky
Mountains was Fons Mills.
The Rocky Mountains has lots of interesting
fish and animals. The kinds of fish that live in
the Rocky Mountains are the Brook trout, the
Rainbow trout, Squatting Pike and the
Samoan. Some of the animals that live here
are very big. There are the elk, the Big Horn
Sheep, the Tufted-eared Squirrel and the Ride
Scent Tailed Humming Bird.
There is evidence that dates a man in these
mountains 10,000 years ago. Indians did not
play a big part in the Rocky Mountains National
Park. The first ever documented man was
named Rufus Sagan who stayed there for

2. about three years studying the Rocky
Mountains. The first settler in the Rocky
Mountains was Joel Estes.
There are challenges in the Rocky Mountains.
Lately the staff at the Rocky Mountains are
removing dead trees because the trees are
being killed by an outbreak of Butive Beetles.
This is a problem for the healthy trees too
because when they remove the dead trees and
a heavy wind comes along, the healthy trees
no longer have the other trees around them to
protect them from the heavy wind so they fall
down. This is thinning out the forest.
This is a very large park with five huge camp
grounds in the Rocky Mountain national park.
They are named the Aspaneling , the Glacier
Basin, the Morians, the Party Long Peak and
the Timber Creek.
