1. Weekly News from WCUMC-11/11/2012
Sharing the transforming love of Jesus, across the street and around the world.
"Thanks-Living People
A Mind-Set ... A Heart-Set"
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your
gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about
anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with
thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God,
which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your
minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:4-7
Because Jesus is in our lives, and because we are filled with the power
and presence of the Holy Spirit, our inner attitudes do not have to
reflect our outward circumstances.
Worry about nothing. Pray about everything.
And do so with THANKSGIVING.
Philippians 4:4-7 expresses some important elements to abundant living:
1. REJOICE ... Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again,
rejoice.
2. RELAX ... Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
3. REST ... And the peace of God, which transcends all
understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ
Jesus.
