9. Regional Delivery Plan for Employment & Skills
• Facilitation of a Regional Delivery Plan will be aligned
strategically with the Skills Implementation Plan covering all
funding sources
• The plan will identify the region’s skills needs, articulate the
collective response and operations to be supported by
appropriate investment
• The Regional Employment & Skills Framework is comprised of
four main ‘themes’ under which priorities will sit:

The RLSO is a central interactive online information system providing local data and intelligence, for learning, skills and the labour market in SW&CW. There to support evidence based policy and improved decision making in the areas of regeneration and education. Its focus is data for learning and skills, employment and economic development.
The RLSO website has been improved to update the content and functionality. The new website displays an icon based navigation system and the home page will include 6 icons; Census, Education, Economy, People, Publications and Factsheets.
Advantages:

• Fully bilingual.
• Flexible access for all data – filter by timeframe, theme and geography.
• Extract data and utilise in your own reports.
• Interactive analysis with maps and tables.
• Compare and contrast related datasets.

Entrep Actions
RLP to convene and facilitate a 2nd Entrepreneurial Skills Brokerage Group meeting, ensuring additional relevant stakeholders are invited.
RLP to follow up with Welsh Government regarding the sourcing of evaluations of current projects relating to entrepreneurship and enterprise education.
RLP to broker discussions between organisations that have submitted EoIs and have expressed an interest in collaboration.
RLP to produce a more detailed document (“at a glance”) outlining current provision at a national, regional and local level and the EoI proposals, with the aim of identifying gaps and aligning proposals to avoid duplication.
The RLP Portal Brokerage Group to draft a proposal on behalf of south west & central Wales on how they can assist with the Skills Gateway in terms of the national, regional and local content. To include recommendations and considerations for:
A process for regional and local web links that will be available on the national portal;
Sustainability of updating and managing content;
Sectoral approach to be explored.
DfES to review proposal and consider the development of protocols regarding data and intelligence exchange and content management.
