Some ideas on the concept of scaffolding By Víctor Lugo
Scaffolding is a learning process which… Exploits the learners’ initial interest and encourages their curiosity as a key requirement to learn.
Promotes social exchange and discussion through the inclusion of different viewpoints on the same issue
Departs from the clear identification of learning needs and goals, and learners’ strengths and weaknesses and individual  learning style.
Requires informed guidance to provide learners with logical steps promoting discovery and permanent goalposts for them to monitor their progress.
Scaffolding empowers learners by helping them Take responsibility of their own learning,  … this highly reflective learning process makes learners demand high-quality services from their teachers and tutors, and commitment from their peers and, something probably far more important…
In the end, as a result of scaffolding, learners come to understand that learning is a gate to discover and make sense of the world.
