 Pharmacy is a global and service oriented profession, and
women play a key role in it. For example, counseling
families on health related issues.
 Woman have been privileged to come from families where
they have been encouraged and contributed a lot to the
well being of the society.
Pharmacy - Women
 Being a strong woman is not about behaving like a man. It is
about showing their skills and knowledge to the world, while
making sure that they take control of the things that they are
doing and let them done.
Strong woman:
Qualities for being strong woman pharmacist
• Have the self confidence to try any thing. Don’t lose faith in
your self.
• Find the people you admire and learn from them.
• Work to develop your personal style.
• Never pass up opportunities to sharpen your skills.
• Think big early. Take time to figure out what you want. Focus on
your goals and on making them happen.
• Don’t get too comfortable. Be prepared to take risks and step in.
Balance is important quality :
 Work smart, not hard. Try to maintain a balance of work,
family, and outside interests.
 Do not assume there is a ‘plan’, love what you do and do not
compromise when it comes to your core values or need for
balance of personal and family needs.
Barriers of woman
 Woman do not usually hold high positions in any organization.
 The career path of woman is usually very slow, they break their
career due to motherhood.
 They face many problems in their work areas.
 Although time constraints are an important predictor of the
allocation of household duties, women tend to be more affected
by these factors than men.

researches and as manufacturers.
 And only 9.4% women are in
this category.
Gender proportions in Pharma industry
 This is because of the barriers of woman, and they need to
over come and balance their barriers.
 The presence of women in the top management of
pharmaceutical companies is a mile wide but only a inch deep,
there are so many reasons for that one of the reason is biased
society and some barriers.
 Women can overcome from their barriers by maintaining
unbiased society, and give the equal opportunities for both the
gender
