2. 2 Corinthians 1:18-22
19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was
preached among you by us—by me, Silvanus, and
Timothy—was not Yes and No, but in Him was
Yes. 20 For all the promises of God in Him are
Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God
through us. 21 Now He who establishes us with
you in Christ and has anointed us is God, 22 who
also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our
hearts as a guarantee.
3. The Amen
Jesus: The Amen
Rev 3:14 The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the
Beginning of the creation of God.
God, the Amen, Keeps Covenant
"Know therefore that the LORD your God, He is God, the
faithful God, which keeps covenant and mercy with them
that love Him and keep His commandments to a thousand
generations." (Deuteronomy 7:9)
"Faithful God" literally means "God the Amen"
4. I Second That
Deut 19:15 “A single witness shall not rise up against a man on account of any
iniquity or any sin which he has committed; on the evidence of two or three
witnesses a matter shall be confirmed.
Matthew 26:59 Now the chief priests and the whole Council kept trying to
obtain false testimony against Jesus, so that they might put Him to death. 60
They did not find any, even though many false witnesses came forward. But
later on two came forward, 61 and said, “This man stated, ‘I am able to destroy
the temple of God and to rebuild it in three days.’” 62 The high priest stood up
and said to Him, “Do You not answer? What is it that these men are testifying
against You?” 63 But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest said to Him, “I adjure
You by the living God, that You tell us whether You are the Christ, the Son of
God.” 64 Jesus *said to him, “You have said it yourself; nevertheless I tell you,
hereafter you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power, and
coming on the clouds of heaven.”
65 Then the high priest tore his [w]robes and said, “He has blasphemed! What
further need do we have of witnesses? Behold, you have now heard the
blasphemy; 66 what do you think?” They answered, “He deserves death!”
5. No One Greater
Hebrews 6:13 For when God made the promise to
Abraham, since He could swear by no one
greater, He swore by Himself, 14 saying, “I will
surely bless you and I will surely multiply you.”
15 And so, having patiently waited, he obtained
the promise.
6. 2 Corinthians 1:18-22
19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was
preached among you by us—by me, Silvanus, and
Timothy—was not Yes and No, but in Him was
Yes. 20 For all the promises of God in Him are
Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God

hearts as a guarantee.
7. Covenants
1. WHO ARE PARTIES INVOLVED? WHO IS THE
INITIATOR? (Initiate: cause beginning of, take first
step)
2. WHAT IS THE REASON FOR COVENANT?
3. IS THERE A PROMISE OR OATH?
4. IS THERE A SIGN OR WITNESS? IS THERE A MEAL,
AN ALTAR or A NAME CHANGE? IS THERE A
SACRIFICE?
5. WHAT IS THE LENGTH OF THE COVENANT? ARE
OFFSPRING AFFECTED?
8. Ephesians 1:3
Every Spiritual Blessing… in Christ
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual
blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.
9. Blessings
Blessing – barak:
to kneel, bless.
Related Hebrew word is
Berakah: a blessing or
a gift or present.
It is to bring a gift to another while kneeling out of
respect. The extended meaning of this word is to do
or give something of value to another.
11. Deuteronomy 28
1 “Now it shall be, if you diligently obey the Lord
your God, being careful to do all His
commandments which I command you today, the
Lord your God will set you high above all the
nations of the earth.
Conditional Covenant - "if you will . . .I will“.
Obey – Listen Intently
12. Deuteronomy 28
1 “Now it shall be, if you diligently obey the Lord your God,
being careful to do all His commandments which I command
you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the
nations of the earth.
Matt 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill
cannot be hidden; 15 nor does anyone light a lamp and put
it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to
all who are in the house. 16 Let your light shine before men
in such a way that they may see your good works, and
glorify your Father who is in heaven.
13. Deuteronomy 28
2 All these blessings will come on you and
accompany (overtake you) you if you obey the
Lord your God…
(also in Deut. 28:15 for the curses)
14. Overtake You
Deut 19:1 “When the Lord your God cuts off the nations, whose land the
Lord your God gives you, and you dispossess them and settle in their cities
and in their houses, 2 you shall set aside three cities for yourself in the
midst of your land, which the Lord your God gives you to possess. 3 You
shall prepare the roads for yourself, and divide into three parts the territory
of your land which the Lord your God will give you as a possession, so that
any manslayer may flee there.
4 “Now this is the case of the manslayer who may flee there and live: when
he kills his friend unintentionally, not hating him previously— 5 as when a
man goes into the forest with his friend to cut wood, and his hand swings
the axe to cut down the tree, and the iron head slips off the handle and
strikes his friend so that he dies—he may flee to one of these cities and
live; 6 otherwise the avenger of blood might pursue the manslayer in the
heat of his anger, and overtake him, because the way is long, and take his
life, though he was not deserving of death, since he had not hated him
previously. 7 Therefore, I command you, saying, ‘You shall set aside three
cities for yourself.’
15. Deuteronomy 28:3
3 You will be
blessed in the city
and blessed in the
country.
Universal blessing -
wherever you are
or live, wherever
you go or travel.
Eph 2: 17 that Christ may dwell in
your hearts through faith; and that
you, being rooted and grounded in
love, 18 may be able to
comprehend with all the saints
what is the breadth and length and
height and depth, 19 and to know
the love of Christ which surpasses
knowledge, that you may be filled
up to all the fullness of God.
16. Deuteronomy 28:4
4 The fruit of your
womb will be
blessed.
You will be blessed
by them, but they
will also be blessed
and a blessing.
Fruitfulness,
expansion, growth,
multiplication.
Genesis 1:28 God blessed them;
and God said to them, “Be fruitful
and multiply, and fill the earth, and
subdue it; and rule over the fish of
the sea and over the birds of the sky
and over every living thing that
moves on the earth.”
17. Deuteronomy 28:4b
4b and the crops of your
land and the young of your
livestock—the calves of your
herds and the lambs of your
flocks.
Many and healthy cattle and children were a
sign of prosperity and wealth. The man with
large families, large herds, was one who was
blessed by God. These were physical signs of
God's blessing.
18. Deuteronomy 28:5
5 Your basket and
your kneading trough
will be blessed.
This basket was used to carry fruit or grain. This speaks
of prosperity in agriculture.
Kneading trough -This was a bowl used to prepare
family meals (i.e., daily bread). This was a way of
saying, "there will always be food on the table."
19. Exodus 12:30-39
30 Pharaoh arose in the night, he and all his servants and all the Egyptians, and
there was a great cry in Egypt, for there was no home where there was not
someone dead. 31 Then he called for Moses and Aaron at night and said, “Rise
up, get out from among my people, both you and the sons of Israel; and go,
worship the Lord, as you have said. 32 Take both your flocks and your herds, as
you have said, and go, and bless me also.”
33 The Egyptians urged the people, to send them out of the land in haste, for
they said, “We will all be dead.” 34 So the people took their dough before it
was leavened, with their kneading bowls bound up in the clothes on their
shoulders. 35 Now the sons of Israel had done according to the word of Moses,
for they had requested from the Egyptians articles of silver and articles of
gold, and clothing; 36 and the Lord had given the people favor in the sight of
the Egyptians, so that they let them have their request. Thus they plundered
the Egyptians.
37 Now the sons of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six
hundred thousand men on foot, aside from children. 38 A mixed multitude also
went up with them, along with flocks and herds, a very large number of
livestock. 39 They baked the dough which they had brought out of Egypt into
cakes of unleavened bread. For it had not become leavened, since they were
driven out of Egypt and could not delay, nor had they prepared any provisions
for themselves.
20. Deuteronomy 28:6-7
6 You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you
go out.
Blessed life in all areas.
7a The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you
will be defeated before you.
"enemies" used eight times in this chapter. It refers to the active
hostility of a person or group against a person or group.
John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came
that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
7b They will come at you from one direction but flee from you
in seven.
This idiom refers to the fearful, unorganized retreat of Israel's
enemies.
21. Deuteronomy 28:8-10
8 The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put
your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving
you.
9 The Lord will establish (to arise, stand up, stand; remember barak
means kneel) you as his holy (set apart for God) people, as he
PROMISED you on oath, if you keep the commands of the Lord your God
and walk in obedience to him.
10 Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the
name of the Lord, and they will fear (be afraid – not reverence) you.
Genesis 26:23 Then he (Isaac) went up from there to Beersheba. 24The LORD
appeared to him the same night and said, "I am the God of your father
Abraham; Do not fear, for I am with you. I will bless you, and multiply your
descendants, For the sake of My servant Abraham."
22. Deuteronomy 28:11-13
11The Lord will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your
womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground—in the
land he swore to your ancestors to give you.
12 The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to
send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands.
You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.
13 The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to
the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully
follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.
Colossians 2:8 See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy
and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the
elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ. 9 For in
Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, 10 and in Him you have
been made complete, and He is the head OVER all rule and authority.
23. Prayer/Declaration
“I declare that I am special in Jesus’ eyes, and He loves me
unconditionally. I have an awesome destiny. Jesus has
equipped me with gifts, talents and abilities. Today, I receive
the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness to reign
in life. I give thanks that His favor surrounds me like a shield
and opens doors of opportunities for me. Because of Jesus, I
shall be the head and not the tail, above and not beneath, the
lender and not the borrower. I shall not suffer lack but be
surrounded by His abundance, His wisdom, His peace and His
protection.
“Thank You, Jesus, for Your finished work at the cross for me. I
receive a fresh revelation of Your love right now and thank You
that everything my hands touch shall be blessed! I believe with
all my heart that I am greatly blessed, highly favored and
deeply loved! Amen!”
