Responsibilities
1. Meet the needs of the A3H Membership.
2. Set policies that guide the Activities & Attractions Association of
Hawaii.
3. Write, maintain and update a strategic plan that outlines the long-
range goals for the A3H’s growth and development.
4. Ensure that you have adequate finances and that money is being
spent responsibly.
5. Support your Executive Director.
6. Participate in board and committee meetings
Board Member Attendance
•Regularly attend meetings as scheduled (4/year) in person or
via teleconference
•Participate as an ad hoc committee member if appointed
•Attend board retreats, in-service workshops and other board
development activities
•Attend and participate in special events as needed
Board Obligation
Establish policy
Hire, supervise and evaluate the executive director
Secure adequate funds
Monitor finances
Maintain and update long-range plans
Board Member Specific Duties
•Attend meetings and show commitment to board activities
•Be well-informed on issues and agenda items in advance of meetings
•Contribute skills, knowledge and experience when appropriate
•Listen respectfully to other pointes of view
•Participate in organizational decision-making
•Financially support the organization
•Assume leadership roles in all board activities
•Represent the organization to the public and private industry
•Educate yourself about the needs of the people you serve

• Medium Business $864 (under 50)
• Large Business $1080 (51 or more)
Standard Billing frequency Annual. If you prefer quarterly or Semi-
annual, Small, Medium & Large will be calculated at $45, $80 & $100
per month respectively. Annual payments by check receive 10% off.

“I want to go on record commending the printing agreements you have negotiated.
I just ran two new jobs under the new agreements and saved over $2000.00
compared to previous printing costs. As a non-profit we normally cut a pretty good
deal but this is over the top. Given our previous printing cycles we should save well
over $6,000 during the next year. Using old farm boy math the return our A3H
membership dues from this benefit alone is over 500%. Thanks and keep up the
wonderful work!”

These situations also damage Hawaii's good reputation as a visitor destination.  SB2607 enables regulators to conduct thorough investigations, expeditiously and will provide clear guidance to activity desks that adhere to the law.   SB2607 establishes the purpose of a client trust account (CTA), to ensure that individuals and activity providers are able to recover money that is rightfully owed to them by an activity desk.  The CTA may be equally served through the mechanism of a bond or letter of credit, (per Paradise Cruises request), with an increased minimum of $250K.  SAVE members money: Printing, Web Security, credit card processing, answering service and gateway fees

We use Public Relations firm McNeil Wilson on & off.Web Based Reservation – Pono Rez. Pono stands for right and just in Hawaiian. This system, now a CRS & GDS is owned by the association members. It was build and is provided not to make money, but rather to ensure Hawaii’s Activity Providers stay in control of their products & services.
