Christmas means different things to different people. To some it's a time of joy, a opportunity to
dedicate to family and good friends. For other people it is a time of loneliness. For some people
it's like of wonder, lights and magic, while for many people it's just a way to take some time off
work, eat just a little and drink a lot.
In the course of all of this, you will be forgiven for assuming that the central figure of Christmas
this is definitely old, fat jolly guy in a red suit. There's a lot of fake in Christmas… fake elves, fake
snow, fake stars, fake trees, fake smiles at family gatherings, and as adults we are conditioned to
believe nothing but play along with façade. But many of us who are Christians have something
greater than the fakeness, many lessons that makes around right now one among true joy and
genuine thankfulness.
His name is Jesus, and presently we celebrate His reaching to earth. You'll see pictures of Him as
an infant, all that's not the end of the story plot… it's not even the grass roots of the story plot! But
why did He, being God, to be a man, a person born within a lowly stable, into a working class
family who lived inside a working class town? This is without doubt one of the great mysteries of
Christmas, that Christ...
Philippians 2:6-11 (ESV Strong's)
who, though he was by means of God, didn't count equality with God like to be grasped, but
emptied himself, through the form of a servant, being born within the likeness of men. And being
found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the aim of death, even death
on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above
every name, so that on the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on this planet
and under the globe, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, as well as the glory of
God the Father.
He did not come randomly, He didn't come to establish a religion. Jesus wasn't just a great
person, or a culture-class prophet. He was and yet is God Himself, and He had the end game in
mind.
Jesus came throughout the mission from God…
