My words.... here i present a few issues relating to  institution building  i wish that more people should become entrepreneurs. an ordinary indian entrepreneur wishes to remain an honest entrepreneur and contribute to the development of nation, but our systems and processes  ...
What is an institution and how is it different from organisations ?  Institutuion refers to an organisation, which represents some enduring social values, ideals of society, which acts as a change agent for society and which cherish and nurture the ideals of the society. The internal structures and process helps institution in promoting social ideals and values. Institutions help in social development. In comparison to organisations, instititons get more respect, and credibility in society.
What factors contribute to development of an institution ?  Its goals, mission, purpose, ideals  how well does it understand the society and social framework  leadership, its vision,  culture, values and ethos of the institution
What is the process of institution building ?  1. set up as an organisation 2. survival, struggle, and assimilation of social values and understandings 3. Self examination 4 actualisation 5 social integration and development 6 proactive role 7. hr role and model development 8 support to other institutions
Role of CEO in institution building  CEO has to build a culture for institution building. A culture of openness, trust, collaboration, mutual trust, proactive social development role, and integration with society  A CEO has to develop a team and for that people development is very important. Instituions have to give greater autonomy, flexibility, intellectual challenges to its team members.
Important role of institutions  They play an important role in social development. They have self renewal capability and they are centers for innovations and development. Institutions can play a catalyst role in social transformation.
Great institution builders of India . Vikram Sarabhai (set up many institutions like IIM Ahmedabad etc. )  Ravi J Matthai (director of IIMA)  Vijay Shankar Vyas (director of IIMA, founder of Institute of Development studies and many other institutions including Ajit Foundation)

  • 3. What is an institution and how is it different from organisations ? Institutuion refers to an organisation, which represents some enduring social values, ideals of society, which acts as a change agent for society and which cherish and nurture the ideals of the society. The internal structures and process helps institution in promoting social ideals and values. Institutions help in social development. In comparison to organisations, instititons get more respect, and credibility in society.
  • 4. What factors contribute to development of an institution ? Its goals, mission, purpose, ideals how well does it understand the society and social framework leadership, its vision, culture, values and ethos of the institution
  • 5. What is the process of institution building ? 1. set up as an organisation 2. survival, struggle, and assimilation of social values and understandings 3. Self examination 4 actualisation 5 social integration and development 6 proactive role 7. hr role and model development 8 support to other institutions
  • 6. Role of CEO in institution building CEO has to build a culture for institution building. A culture of openness, trust, collaboration, mutual trust, proactive social development role, and integration with society A CEO has to develop a team and for that people development is very important. Instituions have to give greater autonomy, flexibility, intellectual challenges to its team members.
  • 7. Important role of institutions They play an important role in social development. They have self renewal capability and they are centers for innovations and development. Institutions can play a catalyst role in social transformation.
