The St Paul’s
Cathedral is located at
the top of Ludgate Hill,
the highest part of the
City of London. St
Paul’s Cathedral is one
of the most visited
places by the tourists
in London it is the seat
of the Bishop and the
cathedral of the
Dioceses of London.
4. History.
The Saint Paul’s Cathedral was
built between 1676 and 1710. It
was designed by the architect
Christopher Wren, onto an old and
medieval cathedral’s ruins that it
burnt in 1666. The first Church in
this site was built in 604. St Paul’s
Cathedral has a baroque design. It
is dedicated to Paul the Apostle.

5. James Thornhill painted
scenes from the life of St
Paul at the dome,
Grinling Gibbons carved
the Choir’s wood and the
organ and another people
decorated the cathedral
later. The choir’s mosaic
shows the Genesis. It
was made by Stevens,
Watts, Britten and
Richmond at the end of
the nineteenth century.
His dome is the second
biggest in the world then
of the Saint Peter’s
Basilica.
6. Crypt and dome.
In the crypt are buried
important people as
Lord Nelson (soldier),
Wellington (soldier and
politician), Lawrence
de Arabia (soldier,
archaeologist and
writer) and Fleming
(scientist). You can visit
the crypt. You can also
go up the huge dome.

princess Diana),

national figures and
many
commemorations.

LONDON
EYE
The London also called Millenium

2000 and each year since its

three million people. And actually
is the third highest treadmill in the
world.
