B2C Brands* Web, Mobile, and Social Media Content Marketer/Writer
*currently: easyclicktravel.com, lastminutetravel.com, and lmtclub.com
Job Description
Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Content Marketer/Writer (CMW) is a full-time, professional staff position based in
Maitland and Altamonte Springs, Florida.
Required
The CMW must have excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills (note that writing samples will be required to schedule an
interview, and that the interview will include a "write on demand (on deadline)" writing assignment), including impeccable Englishlanguage grammar skills with a preference for candidates with journalism experience.
Preferred
The CMW has a thorough understanding of digital media marketing communications solutions including web, mobile, social media,
SEO, digital media, and analytics.
Job Duties
The CMW coordinates, manages, maintains, monitors, and executes the consumer brands' social media initiatives across a variety of
social media and communications channels and platforms, including, but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Vine, YouTube,
Pinterest, LinkedIn, SlideShare, Google+, and WordPress. The CMW will take ownership for the coordination and implementation of the
brands' strategy for initiating and perpetuating engagement across new media channels, develop content for posting on designated social
media platforms and provide timely analysis and assessment of relevant online data and metrics in support of the brands'
communications priorities, marketing, and branding efforts. The CMW will participate in the training and professional development of
employees learning to use social media. The CMW will be responsible to ensure each brand’s multiple social media accounts are filled
with timely, relevant, and engaging content, and will have “hands –on-keys” responsibilities for the day-today content creation and
publishing. The CMW will serve as a member of the marketing team and as a member of the B2C team.
Execute a comprehensive social media strategy for the brands', integrating new and traditional media components and sound
social media techniques
Maintain, monitor and manage the brands' comprehensive social media platform
Coordinate with company departments to plan video, graphic and photographic support to be used in the university's digital and
social media content
Partner with company departments to ensure appropriate and consistent online messaging
Maintain compliance with appropriate federal, state and university regulations and policies related to social media
Develop, plan and coordinate various social media outreach events, promotions and initiatives
Participate in company activities and initiatives that provide opportunities for information sharing and/or learning about products
and customers
Participate in special projects when assigned
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Relevant bachelor’s degree program from an accredited institution.
A minimum of three year’s of professional experience writing, marketing, journalism, and/or social media. Advanced creative,
writing and editorial skills with an emphasis on visual communication, communications, public relations, marketing, English or a
related field.
Thorough and demonstrated knowledge of social media applications/platforms.
Familiarity with social media monitoring and analytics resources, trends and best practices.
Knowledge of current and emerging communications methodologies and technologies from a brand marketing perspective.
Basic knowledge of creative web communication tools and resources including HTML, CSS, Flash, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and
Illustrator.
Expertise in planning, prioritizing, and goal setting including the ability to manage multiple projects, determine project urgency,
create detailed action plans, and organize schedules and tasks.
Ability to contribute individually and lead, manage and participate in collaborative initiatives and cross-functional teams.
An excellent communicator, a high-energy self-starter and individual known to be creative, entrepreneurial, flexible and resultsoriented.
Flexibility to work beyond the scope of normal hours of 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., including evenings and weekends.
