1. 5 Ways To Make Your Video Campaign a Success
Whether you’re a long-running business, a startup or have a product, a media campaign
is always on the list of the marketing department. With all the text ads out there, its easy
for your brand to get lost. That’s why lots of startups, businesses and products add a
great video to their ad campaign. Here are some tips to make your ad campaign a
success by using videos:
1. The shorter, the better.
People consume so much media these days that they don’t want to read lots of text.
They also don’t want to watch a 5 minute video. The sweet spot for video length is
usually a minute to a minute and a half. This way, it is not to short where you don’t get
all the selling points across but its not too long where viewers lose interest.
2. It doesn’t have to be funny.
We’re not all comedians or comedy writers. When it comes to making a concept and
script, try to keep it light. But, if you try too hard for it to be funny, then it might come
across that way. If you have a serious product, business or startup and you want your
video to be straight to the point, there’s nothing wrong with that.
3. Talk as if people don’t know what you do.
When it comes to making a video for product or businesses, especially startups, people
probably don’t know what you do. Your video should talk to the viewer as if they are a
person off the street you are trying to explain it to. We tend to use a lot of terminology,
specific to our product. Keep it simple and understandable.
4. Make them want to use your product or business.
Everyone dreams. Don’t you want them to dream about using your product or service?
If you’re video only shows a talking head, it would be hard for viewers to see
themselves using it. Be sure you show what your product or startup is, what it does and
how it can make their life easier or better. If they see your video and can picture
themselves in the actor’s shoes, then you’re on the right track.
5. Some videos are big and some videos are small.
Not everyone has a marketing budget like huge companies. If you do, great! It’s always
a good idea to put money you can spare into video marketing. Marketing is what brings
in business and money, so investing in an awesome video is a great way to get a good
return on investment. If you have a smaller budget, just work with what you have. Don’t
go bankrupt! A smaller budget video can have just as big of an impact as a larger one,
its all about how it’s made and how well it get’s your selling points across.
