Health
The World Health Organization (WHO), (1947)
defined health as a state of complete physical,
mental, and social well-being, and not merely
the absence of disease or infirmity.

Wellness further describes health status. It allows
health to be placed on a continuum from oneâs
optimal level (âwellnessâ) to a maladaptive state
(âillnessâ)

aware of and practicing healthy choices to

The classical definition of illness:
an unhealthy condition or unhealthy state of
body or mind.
It is an abnormal process in which the
functioning of person is impaired or diminished
in one or more dimensions

mechanisms of an organism to counteract
