The document describes a new cycling insole called SOLESTAR that is made of carbon material. It has a special design that stabilizes the foot and prevents shear forces during pedaling to improve power transfer. The carbon material is very light and stiff yet flexible. It positions the big toe joint deeper and raises the outside of the forefoot to improve pedaling efficiency. Several pro cyclists use and endorse SOLESTAR insoles for enhanced performance and reduced foot pain.

3. Efficiency.
Road, Mountain Biking or Triathlon, it is all
about about finding the perfect interaction
between man and machine. The focus is on per-
fecting ergonomics to opitimize the transfer of
power from foot to pedal.
SOLESTAR cycling insole takes effect, its
special operating principle stabilizes the
foot, preventing the shear forces which typi-
cally occur when pedaling, and corrects the
movement mechanism*.In this way, the rider will
achieve their maximum performance.
In addition, the SOLESTAR insole allows trouble-
free cycling and a reduction of overuses.
The SOLESTAR principle.*
During the push phase of the pedalling cycle,
the tray-shaped shank and torsion support
prevents the medial buckling of the foot.
As a result, the first metatarsophalangeal
joint becomes deeper placed by the Solestar
cycling insole, and the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th
digits are supported and pressure reduced. The
effect is an even force distribution onto the
entire middle foot axis. During the pull phase,
the elevation of the lateral rim at the fore-
foot serves as a border and prevents the foot
from losing grip.

4. A core made from carbon.
The SOLESTAR cycling shoe insert is made from a special carbon material, which renders the insole
extremely light and strong. In contrast to conventional forms of carbon, it has exceptionally good
stiffening capabilities and is able to easily absorb the torsion forces created during the push
and pull pedal phases. This makes it the ideal material for the SOLESTAR insole.

To ensure the high demands on the insole SOLESTAR is made at the most advanced standards of
carbon production. For maximum performance the insole is assembled by hand and individually fit-
ted by a certified Foot Care specialist.
