Tencent has different products category for different customers’ needs. Tencent has
divided their products into the following ways: communication, community
exchange, casual games, action games, online games, mobile and life style.

TENCENT GAMES
Tencent Games is one of the biggest open platforms, as
well as the largest online game community in China. It is
divided into six market segments: action, shooting,
MMO, sports, casual, online games, in order to meet
millions of Tencent users’ demands. They found that
action online games market is far from saturated.
Different styles, different type of play action game has
great appeal to players. Therefore, not only Tencent
continue has their internal independent research and
development, they also focus on the open platform to
attract different companies to released games in Tencent
open platform.
• Internet giant Tencent Holdings probably has a video game to suit the
taste of each of the more than 500 million gamers in China today.
• But it is no accident that Asia’s most valuable company, which
operates the world’s largest video games business by revenue, has
been making one hit game after another for many years.
• Instead of conducting expensive and tedious internal tests with
hundreds of players, Tencent has made use of the extensive
broadband and mobile network coverage across mainland China to
engage directly with its customers, he said.
• What sets Tencent apart from other major Chinese games operators,
such as NetEase and Perfect World, are its platforms for interacting
with gamers and other consumers – QQ and WeChat, which also
serve as distribution channels for games.
