Imposter Syndrome is the feeling that you are less qualified or less accomplished than your peers. Though it's easy to identify, it's also dificult to navigate, especially as careers become more fast-paced in nature.
Self-confidence is one of the biggest obstacles for women in taking a seat at the table. In order to close the gender gap, we need more women to aim for positions of leadership. However, a lack of confidence can hold women back from everything to voicing an opinion to applying for a higher position. Addressing how to overcome these barriers is a critical issue no matter what level you are in your career. In this interactive workshop, we will explore what gets in the way to self-confidence, how the lack of confidence impacts women's leadership and contributes to the leadership gap, and what you can do to get more if it to get to the next level in your career.

Imposter Among Us: A Qualitative Analysis of Imposter Syndrome Posts on RedditAbhayaAbbyChopra
According to the Harvard Business Review, imposter syndrome is broadly defined as doubting your abilities and feeling like a fraud. People with this syndrome often feel their achievements are due to luck and fear that they do not have the right skills to succeed. It is also associated with the concern that they will be discovered as a “fake.” It is estimated that approximately 70% of the U.S population suffers from it, and it disproportionally affects high-achieving people. Imposter syndrome can lead to mental health conditions, such as anxiety and depression. For people who have this syndrome, performance in a professional setting can be severely impaired and contributes to the gender pay gap, costing businesses billions of dollars. Students often doubt their own academic ability due to highly competitive environments. The goal of this project was to evaluate imposter syndrome related Reddit posts between March 2021 and April 2021 in order to inform the development of a future survey.

Building Character: Creating Consistent Experiences With Design Principles- ...Mad*Pow
Inconsistency is one of the most common points of breakdown and frustration in the interactions and experiences we have. Whether we’re interacting with other people, applications, our bank, our doctor, our government, anyone, we form expectations and understandings of what someone or something will do based on our previous experiences and their past behaviors. When something happens that doesn’t fit with those expectations–that seems out of character–we’re caught off guard. What do we do next? What should we expect now?
Principles act as rules that guide how we think and act. Formed by our motivations, values, and beliefs, we use them as “lenses” through which we examine information in order to make decisions on what to do. And because of their persistent influence on our behavior, they influence other’s views and expectations of us. Using these same kinds of constructs throughout the design process we can design interactions and consistent behaviors that set and live up to expectations for our audiences.

It will be useful to anyone involved in HR management and team leading, but also small teams and entrepreneurs. It's focused on transparency and motivation, and it has been designed to gain mutual support and commitments about evolutionary careers.
The father of all demos: how to make a product demo that stands out Moriya Kassis
For a startup, there is almost nothing more powerful than a great product demonstration.
When done correctly, a demo allows the customer to see and feel how things will be better if they buy (and worse if they don't). And so, good demos don't have to be perfect for the product. They have to be perfect for the audience.
Learn the best practices of the Product Demo: What should you know? How should you prepare? What is the Just Right amount of work for you to do? Also, how to deliver both the best product and the best message to go with it?
As it's easy to mess up a Demo, learn how to do it in an interactive session that moves you fast forward to an outcome.

BDPA Cincinnati brought three (3) experienced IT recruiters to the roundtable. They answered all of the questions you’ve always wanted to ask … but, were afraid to do. It was an outstanding opportunity for anyone, from college interns to entry-level IT professionals to experienced technicians, managers, or executives. The audience received the ‘inside scoop’ on what it takes to successfully land a job, promotion, or have a successful career in the IT industry.
Our panel included:
- Karen Cooper (owner, SmartIT)
- Karen Lipscomb (senior talent acquisition manager, L3-Communications)
- Linda Mullen (assistant VP, Fifth Third Bank)
Corporate America is rebounding from the Great Recession and unemployment continues to lag at levels that are much too high in the Black community and the Greater Cincinnati area. As such, we want to lift the curtain of secrecy about the recruitment process so that BDPA members and supporters have every advantage to advance their careers in the IT industry.

At Big Fish Presentations, we know that boring presentations have absolutely nothing to do with the topic. If the content doesn't seem interesting, you can change that by how you present the information. Here are 8 ways to make ANYTHING interesting.
One of the most difficult challenges of public speaking is creating a presentation that best represents your topic. You can spend hours upon hours attempting to craft something that will impact and entertain your audience.
That's why we wrote the SlideShare Handbook- to help you learn how to write, design, and market powerful content.
It's become common for us to share with our clients and fans various pieces of advice that applies to all presenters and presentations. With that in mind, here are the 10 most useful public speaking tips we've learned through the years, better known as our "commandments."
A call to action (CTA) is a driving force - an argument - that motivates change and action. CTAs can be found in almost everything we see or do:
"Sign up now!"
"Follow us on Twitter!"
"Buy one get one free."
The reason for this is that a CTA promotes people to act and do something. When used in presentations, a CTA can be very effective or supremely underwhelming. You should understand your CTA before you start developing your presentation, but developing the CTA itself is already quite a process.
So, in this SlideShare, we share with you the importance of a CTA, how to craft one, and how to deliver it in a way that helps the audience understand your message and act on it.

Understanding User Needs and Satisfying ThemAggregage
https://www.productmanagementtoday.com/frs/26903918/understanding-user-needs-and-satisfying-them
We know we want to create products which our customers find to be valuable. Whether we label it as customer-centric or product-led depends on how long we've been doing product management. There are three challenges we face when doing this. The obvious challenge is figuring out what our users need; the non-obvious challenges are in creating a shared understanding of those needs and in sensing if what we're doing is meeting those needs.
In this webinar, we won't focus on the research methods for discovering user-needs. We will focus on synthesis of the needs we discover, communication and alignment tools, and how we operationalize addressing those needs.
Industry expert Scott Sehlhorst will:
• Introduce a taxonomy for user goals with real world examples
• Present the Onion Diagram, a tool for contextualizing task-level goals
• Illustrate how customer journey maps capture activity-level and task-level goals
• Demonstrate the best approach to selection and prioritization of user-goals to address
• Highlight the crucial benchmarks, observable changes, in ensuring fulfillment of customer needs

2. Fred Santarpia was named Chief Digital Officer of
Condé Nast in October 2014. He is responsible for
building and executing the company’s digital strategy to
expand the reach of its brands, strenthen its marketing
offerings, and deepen its relationship with consumers
across all platforms. He was formerly the general

founding leadership team and served as head of ops.
“I’ve always tried to build my

3. The world’s greatest presenters and where they stand,
on and off the stage.
(noun) /stans/
the attitude of a person or organization toward something; a
standpoint.
5. If you see a hole where something’s not being
done, and you have a moment of time to add
value, go make something happen! Adopting
the mentality of “why not me?” is key, and the
results are almost always iterative.
Answer:
One of the rules i live by is “Go make
something happen.” Often times
people look for permission, but the
answer to progress lies with them.
6. Tell us about one of your
losses and what you
learned from it.
Question:
7. Answer:
Always demonstrate
results. especially
during change.
There are businesses that have been
doing the same thing for years, when they
should be painting the picture of where
their company can go. Whenever you take
on a new challenge, you have to
constantly show results. Otherwise, you’ll
lose sight of the change you’re making
which will, in turn, result in loss of
momentum.
8. Question:
How do you function
in a world where
your occupation is
constantly evolving?
9. You have to be comfortable
operating with change.
If you need a stable status quo environment, it’s very
difficult to have that in the media world. The way you
function is by knowing your business well enough that
you can tell how your business will evolve given new
trends.
Most importantly, learn to ignore. Find the signal in
the noise. It’s critical to have a compass to guide you
and help determine what elements of trends and
market change are most beneficial to you.
Answer:
11. Our motto here is “Never Roll Solo.”
This means there’s more power in organizing
around a team rather than an individual.
You’re not building an all-star team, you’re
building a team of complementary players.
To me, there’s nothing more rewarding than
having a mission you believe in and an
awesome squad to accomplish it with.
Answer:
The thing I’m best at is identifying
talent and building teams.
13. Make Big Promises
and Keep them.
Make a big outrageous commitment and then
find a way to do it. Find the big promise that
you can make to anyone, and do everything
you can to deliver on that promise.
For instance, it was our goal to double web
views in a year, and we did so. 100,000,000
views in fact!
Answer:
Lorem ipsum
14. Question:
How do you reply to questions
about the future from your team
when you don’t know the answer?
15. I never walk into a room and say “here is the
answer.” We all congregate to talk about
decisions together. It’s foolish to say you
have the answer when you’re speaking on
transformation or change since there’s no
telling what’s in store for the future.
Answer:
“No One’s got all the answers...
You have to hire the best
lieutenants who may be
better than yourself.”
