The document discusses the importance of integrating technology into the classroom. It argues that technology skills will be necessary for students' future careers and lives, and that teachers who do not incorporate technology may become replaced by those who do. Additionally, it highlights how technology can help develop students' creativity, critical thinking, communication and other 21st century skills to better prepare them for college and future jobs.

This document provides an overview of Mobile Laser Scanning technology using the Dynascan 3D mobile mapping system. It discusses how mobile scanning is an advancement on traditional surveying methods. The agenda includes introductions, presentations on the technology and Measurement Devices Limited, a live demo, and Q&A. Measurement Devices Limited is a leading designer and manufacturer of laser measurement technology for over 30 years. The Dynascan system is a fully integrated high-speed laser scanner, GPS, and inertial navigation system that is rugged, portable, and suitable for a wide range of land and marine applications. The document highlights the Dynascan system's capabilities and provides examples of its use in infrastructure, coastal, and construction projects.
Foursquare is a mobile social networking app that allows users to "check in" to locations using their mobile device's GPS. By checking in, users can share their location with friends, earn points and badges, and become the "mayor" of locations they visit most frequently. Brands are beginning to use Foursquare to create promotions and loyalty programs by offering rewards to users who check in. Some examples given include Starbucks offering $1 off drinks to the mayor of each location, Domino's giving free pizza and sides to mayors and frequent check-ins, and Jimmy Choo running a treasure hunt promotion across London.
Velodyne VLP-16 and HDL-32 Interface BoxBrett Johnson
The interface box contains circuitry to protect sensors from over and reverse voltage by kicking in protections at 34V and 0.6V that will blow the 3A fuse. When integrating sensors into a custom system, similar circuit protections must be included to prevent damage. The sensors can synchronize data with an external GPS/INS system using a pulse-per-second signal and $GPRMC NMEA message issued at 9600 baud on specified terminals.
PERFIL DE LOS CORREDORES MEXICANOS EN LAS REDES SOCIALESElife Brasil
Location based services can be divided into four categories: location based search, location based commerce, navigation services, and tracking applications. Most location based applications lack location verification, leaving them vulnerable to location spoofing attacks where fake locations can be injected. While this allows rewards and deals to be obtained fraudulently, it can also spoof tracking systems. Solutions include client and server side validations of location data to detect spoofing, but GPS signals can also be directly spoofed through simulator tools.

When users check-in, they can earn points and badges, and the user who checks in the most to a location becomes the "mayor". The app is used by over 3 million registered users to share their location with friends on social media and keep track of places they have visited. It provides a gamified experience where users can compete for points by checking in at different locations.
Social Zombies Gone Wild: Totally Exposed and UncensoredTom Eston
Social networks have jumped onto the geolocation bandwagon with location-based tweets, status updates, check-ins, mayorships, and more. This doesn’t take into account EXIF, QR codes, and advancements in HTML 5 geo implementations, which are being built into these location-based services. This is often implemented and enabled without the user even knowing it. In fact, geolocation is one of the hottest technologies being used in everything from web browsers to mobile devices. As social networks throw our location coordinates around like candy, its only natural that bad things will happen and abuse will become more popular. This presentation will cover how social networks and other websites are currently using location-based services, what they plan on doing with it, and a discussion on the current privacy and security issues. We will also discuss the latest geolocation hacking techniques and will release custom code that can abuse all of the features being discussed.

This document discusses using sensors to guide robotic movement and avoid obstacles. It outlines several sensors like compass, accelerometer, gyroscope, LIDAR and GPS that can be fused together in an internal navigation system. The document notes some challenges with magnetic sensors, accelerometers and gyroscopes and recommends fusing multiple sensors to overcome hardware limitations and issues related to magnetic inclination, gravity and oscillation.
Functional Simulation of the Integrated Onboard System For a Commercial Launc...irjes
This document summarizes a study on simulating the integrated onboard guidance system of a commercial launch vehicle using GPS technologies. It describes the conceptual design of such a system for a light launch vehicle intended to inject small satellites into low Earth orbit. The key aspects covered include:
1) Choosing between uncoupled, loosely coupled, and tightly coupled integration schemes between the inertial navigation system and GPS receiver.
2) Developing mathematical models of the vehicle's motion, inertial navigation sensors, GPS navigation field, and GPS receiver.
3) Ensuring maximum accuracy in determining the position and velocity of the launch vehicle's 3rd stage at the point of payload separation, in order to meet the accuracy requirements for inject
